Remarks

Yes obviously there will be some good remarks and bad remarks too in a college Good remarks - There is a lot to learn here in this campus. This campus has one of the best reputations in the world. Bad remarks - There is a fee hike every year almost. There is a high fee demand for this college

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

There will be a maximum 25 credits in each sem you can have it. 25 credits mean nearly 7-8 courses.Yes the curriculum is groomed to provide industry-specific knowledge to students and will be very very helpful to campus placement. Bits have a reputation of 100% placements. Yes there are industrial visits planned according to the branches.

College Events

5

Firstly there are 3 major fests in our campus where the students come to participate here all over the India. Apart from these there are some mini fests that are also there.Apart form these festivals like Ganpathi, Holi , Diwali, Dussehra etc are celebrated. Technical fest - ATMOS which is held after the midterms are over in the month of October Sports fest - ARENA which is held in the month of January. Cultural fest - PEARL which is held in the month of March.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My program fee is 157500 and the mode of payments accepted are Paytm, Debit card, Credit Card , Net banking There are no additional fees or charges that had to be paid in order to secure admission to your course. No management quota in BITS Yes the college provide transparency in the fee breakdown

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes the college offer scholarship opportunities to students. Yes , the eligibility criteria will depend upon the grades you get that particular semester. The average sum is 25-30% of the whole fees that semester

Campus Life

5

Campus Life is awesome. The major advantage in BITS is that there is no attendance policy. So when you want to spend time on other activities you can spend with on it with higher flexibility. Ya student has some official parties with the faculty. And students often do parties individually. Yes they provide good workshops on different fields. The student diversity is the best in India as far as I heard from reviews and I too also experienced that.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There are 10 blocks for hostels. 7 for boys and 3 for girls. The hostels are very big. Its very amazing. They are single rooms with sufficient spacious for a single student. The best part about the hostel community that you will be sharing your hostel with! The community is diverse and robust.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes , the seniors play a main role klin campus for a student. They help a lot to juniors. Seniors help through the academic issues and they also become friends with the students and help them a lot in every issue. In fact a student should have contact with senior in college to experience a good college life. Yes, alumni help students to take a good career ahead and share their experiences with students for their betterment

Admission

Write the Bitsat exam. Score well (comparing the cutoffs in that exam previous year)and you will get an admission.I opted for chemical engineering since that's the best course getting for my marks.I was trying to get into IITs or Bits. I was getting IIT hyd chemical and Bits Chemical. I thought there were some added advantages in Bits. So I joined there. Score well you will get a deserved branch in any of the 5 Iterations they keep in the admission procedure. You will be allowed to a specific branch.

Faculty

4

In my branch, there are 14 lecturers with an average age of 45-46 and qualifications of PhD, Research scientist etc. They provide the utmost clarity and knowledge of the subject to the students. Yes the lecturers hold a lot of industry experience. They hold certificates from the respective fields they have specialized.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
