Remarks

Need more marketing and local popularity. most of the students are from outside Kerala. in local it is not well known. so prefer more marketing around local and some initiatives around the city for more placements

Course curriculum based on logistics and shipping field. four semesters are a complete study of various logistics subjects and shipping related. Exams are conducted semester wise and viva voce according to the internship and project

College provide us internship in various popular ports in country. and shipping companies too. internship we did in JNPT. it was a good experience for us. enhanced our knowledge in the field. it was unpaid internship. college provides placements and eligible candidates will get job

College organises a fest named estuary every year in the Chennai campus. it is a management fest which includes business game. business quiz, treasure hunt, marketing game, corporate walk and other events

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is feasible when comparing to other MBA colleges. For odd semesters it is around 107500 and for even semesters it is 87500 and admission fees around 20000 and other charges accordingly. these are all fee structure

Fees and Financial Aid

Loans are provided by the bank for tuition fees. Without any collateral they are dispersing the student loan. up to 90%they can avail loan of tuition fees. and each semester bank is paying to University for the respective student

Campus Life

They conduct workshops on various topics of Logistics field. they conduct arts festival. sports events. ethnic day in an year and other cultural festivals every year. And avails central government holidays

I'm a day scholar. there is hostel facility for marine engineering students as most of them are from outside Kerala. hostel is new building and it's build according to the standards of central government

Entrance test called- CET common entrance test conducted by University all india based. from that 500 students are shortlisted and allot the campuses according to the rank and preference of students. by the allotments seat will be allotted

Faculties are good in the university. most of them has teaching experience and working experience in shipping field. so they can guide students accordingly. permanent and guest lecturers are working according to the subjects of each semester

I liked so many club events which is happening once for each and every year
I love to play some management games based on the management studies
I liked to attend many club activities which was conducted by our academic clubs

Dislikes

Most of the time, they were exposing unnecessary fine
Due to some issues for the student, they will expose the fine immediately
suddenly so many kinds of irrelevant penalties were exposed

Course Curriculum Overview:

the areas for the improvements that in the course curriculum and teaching methods are give some PDFs, PPTs, and as well as some google links based on the anna university syllabus. Especially, the timing level should be change. because, in the CIA examinations, there are totally 1:30 hours only allocated to write for totally 50 marks. So, the management wants to extend the time for minimum half an hour i.e., totally 2 hours.

the college could improve its pratical learning modern laboratory facilities industry exposure internship oppornities and placement support more interactive teaching methods and better career guidance would benefits students.
the college has knowledgeable and supportive faculty a friendly campus environment good learning facilities and opportunities to participate in events and build friendships the curriculum provides a strong theoretical foundation.
campus life is enjoyable and students generally interact well with each other the girls to boys ration is approximately depending on the course and batch overall the college offers a good learning environment with scope for improvement.

Dislikes

the college needs to improve its laboratory facilities and provide more pratical sessions workshops and hands on learning opportunities to help students gain industry relevant skills.

Placement Experience:

the college provides placement opportunities for eligible students generally starting from the sixth or seventh semester depending on the course and company requirement companies from different sectors visit the campus to recruit students for roles such as trainee software developer analyst and other entry level positions the number of companies visiting offers made and salary packages varies each years.

Faculty are supportive and knowledgeable, with practical teaching methods. The MBA curriculum is useful and help students develop professional skills.

Placements at GSBM are decent ,with student generally becoming eligible from the last semesters . Companies from sales ,marketing, finance ,HR and business devolpment sectors visit the campus .Placement opportunity and packages vary by company and student performance ,with average packages being reasonable for MBA freshers .A good percentage of students recevie placements opportunity, while stuends can also explore of -campus options .After completing my MBA ,plan to start my career in a management_related role and build my proffessional experience.

Faculty member are knowledgeable approachable and supportive they explain concepts clearly using practical case studies and presentation.
The campus environment is friendly and students get good opportunities to interact through group project seminars events and extracurricular activities
The MBA curriculum covers important areas such as finance, marketing, HR and operation helping students develop management communication and problem solving skills.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities for MBA students at my college are reasonably good. students generally become eligible for campus placement from the 3rd ssemestse3r, after completing most of their core subjects. the placement cell starts preparing studnets through aptitude tests, resume building sessions, group discussions mock interviews and pre placement training.

The placement opportunities for my program are fairly good and students become eligible for campus placements from the third semester preparation and internship opportunities started yearly. The placemet cell various activity such as apptitude test, resume building session, group discussion, mock interview, prepare placemnt training to help students prepare for the requriements. The placement cell offers reasonable support throughout recruitment process.

The admission process is very smooth. Students are listed on the merit basis of their percentage in 12th. A minimum of 65 percent is required to get admission. It is the oldest marine college in india and has a legacy of its own. Since it is a government college the fees is comparatively lower than other marine colleges. It has good infrastructure with a campus area of 35 acres with reside in campus facilities for the cadets of the college. It has a workshop of its own and is also the biggest workshop in asia as compared to any other marine college in asia.It also is at a place where we have eveything that a student could need.
