Remarks

HBTU is the top college after NIT and IIT's. It's one of the oldest engineering colleges. If you are getting admission don't let the opportunity pass on. It is a premier college with all the facilities and will surely meet up your expectations.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum of BTech is very balanced and copied mainly from AKTU syllabus. The course structure is excellent and focuses on technical knowledge,research also. The frequency of Labs and exams are suitable for the students and make their day more productive.

Placement Experience

HBTU has an excellent record in placement and job opportunities. More than 80% students get placed out of The eligible students with handsome CTC package. Yes the college encourages students to do internships in final and pre-final years. Many companies like Adobe, Tata motors, Maruti Suzuki, Reliance, HCL come here for jobs and internship.

College Events

Aadhyay is the techno cultural fest of HBTU Kanpur.Many cultural events such as EDM night, Celebrity night are performed. Many technical events such as Robowar, Robot soccer and LFR and quizzes are also conducted. Aagaaz is sports fest of HBTU Kanpur. Many sports events like football, basketball, cricket, athletics are held in it. Many AKTU colleges participate in it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of HBTU is balanced. Recent hike is observed in in the tuition and overall fees of the college in recent years. The tuition fee of the college is approx 135000 for first year with 10% increment it subsequent years. It is quite feasible but certainly it's not less and can be said as expensive also for students of poor family background.

Fees and Financial Aid

Many scholarships such as Siemens scholarship/UP scholarship are offered to the eligible students. PMSS scholarship is also a good option. Many banks like ICICI Bank, Axis Bank offer loans to the students at at low interests.

Campus Life

HBTU is a great place for extracurricular development. It has facilities for almost all sports. The Labs are are well equipped but some instruments are quite old and didn't meet up the modern period. The culture hostels is quite amusing and all the students live in harmony and enjoy Dorm parties/Cultural societies.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility of HBTU is good and just like that of any other college. The lake view hostels have single or triple seater rooms that are sufficient enough to accommodate the students. Moreover excellent facilities are available in the hostels. Around 3000 is the average rent paid to the hostels/ PG's.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

HBTU who has a strong alumni network. Many alumni are working in in several MNC's and are head of it.The college also has an Alumni Association which acts as an interface between students and alumni.Talks and seminars are arranged by them. The seniors of the college are helpful and gentle. They love their juniors and I ready to help them.

Admission

I got admission in HBTU through JEE mains. College prepares merit list of student that have applied in various reservation categories and seat allotment is done accordingly. The course of BTech is quite popular among engineering aspirants so this college is it good way to pursue your dream.

The faculty of HBTU is very much qualified. The professors assistant professor as well as associate professor try to teach the course curriculum very well. They are highly qualified as well as show interest to clear the doubts in teaching a particular course.

My overall Journey

Likes

Everything was good except placements.
Campus was so engaging , has a beautiful campus , one can get to learn a lot .
Faculties was from either IIT's or NIT's with good humor and knowledge.

Dislikes

Student has to suffer a lot during placements for students who are from Biotechnology .
No one takes responsibility , if a student is unplaced.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become elligible for campus placements.From top companies like google , microsoft to new startups like Raspa , Protium all companes visits , Highest package was 96 LPA , 40% students get placed , rest suffers , if one is from core branch then they get chances for PSUs and other organization.

Likes

Good Faculty : Faculty are supportive to your carrer growth they will provide guidance whenever you needed...
Campus Facilities: Infrastruture,labs everything is up to date accoding to the current need of the present.
Curriculum: Up to date industry oriented syllabus .

Dislikes

Strict Rules: rules are somewhere more stricter for college id,entering and exiting time .
Crowded classes: some classes are crowded sometimes
placement competition many students participating in the placements.

Placement Experience:

At NIET Greater Noida students becomes eligible for sitting in the placements from the 7th sem, with placement preparation starting earlier . Companies from IT sectors and others are visiting college. In my batch time the company that comes are JP Morgan & Chase , Razorpay, Juspay, TCS, Cognizant etc.

Good college for Degrees

Likes

I like the Teacher behavior and attitudes
I like the Sports curriculum , they conduct sports event monthly
I like the admin office, because it always neat and clean

Dislikes

The hostel and mess food is not good as expected
The placement system is too bad , no proper support
The student facilities is not good , like lifts etc

Placement Experience:

If you are BTech CSE student , you dont need to worry more because they invite good number of companies to take placement , but you need that particular skills to get placed. Almost 40 to 50% student got placement for an average of 4.5 LPA

Girls to boys ratio is very less as compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.

Likes

The quality of study is very appreciable. As our syllabus is very updated. Also the practical knowledge in colleges very good as well.
New buildings for 1st year as to prevent ragging is a very plus point. This prevent first year student from ragging and also give them a very friendly and good environment as well.
The placements are very good as in terms of quantity and quality as well many many companies came here and also many big companies which do not come in any other colleges in greater Noida also come in NIET.

Dislikes

The one thing I decide is high requirement of attendance which is 85% attendance by this criteria we get less time in fore hours kill enhancement and learning other things.
Also the coding culture is quite not good for 1st year as well so this thing also I don't like.
The other thing I don't like is that the assignments pressure was quite high in semester one and very very much assignments was given to our branches as well.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for setting in the campus placements is from 6 semester. And for internships the students become eligible from 4th semester and the internship is mandatory for every student. The companies visiting the college are quite in number. The highest placements which was offered during the ongoing placement is 44 lpa. And the average packages for company and profiles of a days 7 to 8 LP. The percentage of students getting placements are very good as 80 to 90% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is to get the highest placement

Unveiling Campus Life and Academic Excellence

Likes

Professer behavior is very cool and good
Classes is conducted in normal class in which some classes have A.C while some not
Campus area is so big in which staff parking and student parking is separtely available

Dislikes

College time is bad . It is same as school timing
Student must maintain 75% attendence to avoid detention in CIA
It does not give a proper break after semester exam

Placement Experience:

The placement is average as same as other college . It provide 6-12 LPA package for who have skills as market required The placement criteria for student is above 8 CGP and no backlogs in all semester My plans after getting the degree is to join a good company for a good life The percentage of getting placements is above 80%

Likes

I liked the teaching methods of some professors in our college .Their way of teaching is unique . In our college boy and girl ratio is approximately 5 to 1.
I also liked the ground and sports facilities of our college . Our college has 3 big grounds and a sac also a gym which has latest equipments and many more things.
The fests of our college is amazing , recently a fest called kashiyatra happened which is biggest fest of our college

Dislikes

I disliked the infrastructure of our college . Our college do not have ac in lecture halls or even there is no single ac for students in campus .
In our college the equipments in manufacturing practice are very old they are rusted and facilities don't even want to tell about those equipments. They are lazy .
Our college IIT bhu don't have their boundaries it is connected to bhu that's why clashes happened every month . Students of IIT and bhu fight every month and the service of proctor in IIT bhu is very disrespectful,they are lazy and don't take actio

Placement Experience:

Our college IIT bhu provides placement at end of year companies came for hiring students and hire them . Our IIT has 2nd rank in terms of placement in all iits. At the end of 3rd year students became eligible for campus placements. Our college also provide internship in third year companies came for internship in our college. My plans after getting degree is to get a high paying job in india and give financial stability to my family. Approximately 70 percent students get job in placement sessions.

TPO and Director behaviour they are totally unable to make your future bright

I would like to inform uh that electronic and communication is a very good trade to choose. So many carreer opportunities if you will go in in industrial area, or in government sector. Make some connections with ur seniors others it is tough to enter in industry for freshers.

All About the HBTU throught the lens of a first year student.

The other colleges which i applied to were IET Lucknow , IIIT Una , IIIT Dharwad and other lower IIITs . I choose over those since this colleges reputation and placements spoke for itself they had a very good track record regarding this course and many famous companies have been coming here repeatedly. The admission in this college is through HBTU e-counselling site which is a standalone website managed by HBTU itself . It has a registration fees of 2500 rupees is non refundable . There you fill your choice of courses . The branch is alloted according to your JEE MAINS rank and your preference list . After the seat allotment letter you have to visit college and there you will have to submit your documents then you will be given a provisional admission letter and you are given a choice to upgrade your branch to the courses you have selected in your preference list. The admission in this college for UG is given through only JEE MAINS for engineering and all other branches leaving Biotechonlogy and Biochemical where you can get admission through CUET....Read More
