We learned a lot from the curriculum and the college itself. My journey was a mix bag of feelings with many sweet and sour moments. The classroom sessions were fun and so were the field visits and management activities like webinars or mock marketing competitions.
Our curriculum was divided in four semester with different subjects to learn from. Our program was of 29 credits and spread over 2 years. We studied general MBA for the first two semesters under which we studied subjects like Business Economics, asset management, operations, etc.
Placements are pretty decent here, though the salary packages offered to the students, still have a room for improvement. IDBI Federal Life Insurance Co. Ltd., Future General, Reliance Jio, Arihant Global-I, are some of the frequent recruiters from our campus. Highest salary package offered were somewhere around 6 LPA.
Events are an elemental part of our program. Faculty development programs, campus tour, guest lecture, industrial visits were some of the events we attended during our tenure at the college. Apart from these freshers party celebration, farewell party, were some of the fun parties I ever experienced. Republic day, gandhi jayanti, holi, diwali, etc. are also celebrated the with an utmost enthusiasm in our college.
My two year course fee was around 5.17 Lacs which was to be paid on a semester-wise basis. This fee included our tuition fee, examination fee, caution fee, registration fee, etc. Fee was a bit expensive for me and I had to exhaust my all savings in order to pay the fee.
Admissions are simply on the basis of merit and no entrance test is required. I downloaded the application form from the official website and applied with all of my academic details. Students are then invited for the interview round. And after that a final merit list is prepared on the basis of Academic record, participation in sports and extracurricular activities.
Faculty was pretty supportive and motivating. They all had business expertise and appropriate qualifications for teaching business at an postgraduate level and corporate experience which clearly reflected in their teaching methodology. Guest faculty was also pretty talented and informativen and gave us some of the valuable insights regarding the market.
From the 3rd semester(MBA) students are eligible for getting internships at least. Byju's, Tax2Win, capital box, StartupLanes, Spidify. A number of offers are more than 10. The highlight package is 4.5 LPA and the average is 3 LPA in the profile of community manager, business development executive, and so on. I will try to get a job abroad or I may opt for Ph.D.
The placement of UEM Jaipur is good. The companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. come to the college and offer good placements. All my seniors have got good job opportunities and many of them have got multiple job opportunities. UEM Jaipur students got 1 to 2 job offers on average.
Placement is one of the most crucial points of higher education. UEM is in the front row to provide placements for the students to prove their skills and talent in front of hirers. Placements are becoming good and good each year. More companies are visiting and the placement cell is very active here and keeps track of all students for their placement.
From the pre-final semester, every student becomes eligible for campus placements. There are many companies like TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Cognizant given offers to our students. On average, every student gets 2 job offers from campus placement.
At first, I filled out the online application form on the official website submitting the details asked. After that, I was notified regarding the entrance exam and its scheduled date on the registered email id. Took the exam and two weeks later the result and merit list was announced through which I was selected.
There are a plenty of placement opportunities for students. Placement drive generally commenced in last semester of one's graduation/post graduation degree. Companies like Thrillophilia, Continuum, Auriga IT Solutions, Fexle services etc. visited the university at our time for placement. The maximum package at that time was 7.5 Lacs per year offered by SAP Labs.
While working in a MNC I decided to pursue an MBA course to give necessary direction to my career. But due to time restrictions, I was unable to leave my job. Hence, I joined Distance MBA program in Vardhman Open University. Initially, I was unsure if the university would be able to serve my purpose. As I look back, I am quite satisfied with my decision. The faculty and study material was enough to prepare me for the corporate world. My only concern with the university was the delay in releasing the results.
I applied for admission on the basis of my MAT scores. Which exempted me for appearing in the Management Entrance Test (MET) organised by VMOU. After getting shortlisted I presented the documents of my professional degree.
I took MAT entrance exam and my score was 96% which was good gor me. Admission process was very simple and clean.
