Course Curriculum Overview

On very first year, we need to learn the subjects of all the streams and then from 2nd year onward we learn the curriculum of the our Choosen Stream. Course is mainly focused on Theory lectures and then the practical implementation. It's a fair from 2nd year onward. Total 8 semester - 1 semester consist of 3 internal and 1 external examination. Final result based on the cumulative of 8 semesters.

Placement Experience

Infosys do visit to the college, which is the main mass recruiter of the college. Interview round: Round #1: Vocab and Quant Round #2: Personal Interview After selection 6 months internship at Mysore Campus and then DC allocation. Many local companies visit the college.

College Events

Felicific is the biggest college fest organized every year by the committee members. It includes various technical and non-technical games and events. During the year many local events and competition like painting, article writing, Counter Strike competition organizes.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For those who take admission in Government quota are reasonable and those who take the admission in private quota is very expensive. For those who took the admission in Management quota are too high. They take the fees in either Cash or cheque mode. Fee is concern to lot of students.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, didn't opted for the same. Government offers scholarship to Economically Backward Class, whose family income are below 10000 a month.

Campus Life

Gender ratio F:M - 2:3 in computer engineering, although it vary by streams. Like Mechanical & Civil - 1:100 (F:M) For IC & Chemical - 15:100 (F:M) Labs are well maintained and clean, but lacks the latest equipment. Campus is somewhat congested due to lot of streams. New buildings are good.

Hostel Facilities

Yes. For the 1st year. Food is the biggest concern to the students although they maintain the fail hygiene, not up to the mark. Hostel has many timing restrictions and they won't allow you to enter the premises after 9 PM.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are helpful. Colleage should improve the all over infrastructure and need to be competitive at nation level.

Admission

In Gujarat, at that time I appeared for the JEE mains exam. Based on the cumulative result of 12th Science and JEE Mains, ACPC declared the merit in the month of April. April onward, we need to submit the college preferences in which we like to get the admission in on ACPC portal. Based on the vacant seats and merit list, I got the admission in my preferred college on 02/05/2013.

Faculty

Faculty members are very supportive and helpful. They incorporate the new technologies quickly and encourage the students to do the same. Faculty availability 100% and very knowledgeable persons. HOD has many good connections, which help student to get their certification or placement done.

Likes

The campus is really well built and has good classrooms with air conditioners in every class ensuring student comfort.in
Decent facilities for extra curricular activities like sports and metro connectivity as well.

Dislikes

Same old rigid curriculum that is still being taught in Tier 3 engineering colleges through out the country
Some of the faculty even though they may be knowledgeable themselves, fail to deliver their thoughts in an efficient way to the students
Attendance criteria is relatively strict at around 80% on paper but you can still do with 70+ percentage.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from the 7th Semester and companies start visiting at that time. The no. of companies that visit are around 30+ and the highest package offered last time was around 25+ LPA. The average package is 7-8LPA. Some of the companies that visit are Accenture,TCS, Infosys, JP Morgan(students got placed from a Hackathon)

FROM 6 TH SEMESTER THE STUDENTS BECOME ELIGIBLE FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENT THE COMPANY THAT CAME FOR CAMPUS PALCEMENTS ARE INFOSYS,IBM,TCS ETC. THE HIGHEST PALCEMENT IS IN THIS YEAR IS 25 LAKH 95 PERCENT STUDENTS GET PLACED AFTER THE DEGREE IS WILL BEACOME A CORPORATE SLAVE

Likes

The campus view is awesome we all will see new things everytime and it feels fresh at the morning.
The personal development of particular students have been in focus of every faculty which is awesome.
The behaviour towards students of every professor is the best all are understanding and calm towards students.

Dislikes

There is a system of gate pass means whenever u need to go out of main gate with the permission we are not allowed to go.
In hostel the washrooms are not so clean for the students with common washroom hostel
The mess food are boring sometimes and the food of the food seems to be same everytime

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I have a great interest in coding and this field is based on coding so i choosed the computer field. -The curriculum of the college are based on the things which will help us in future for real world application. -The way they i based on pdf means they make a full note of a subject in pdf and explain that and which makes clear to us so I don't think they should change. -There is a enough time to study for exams it depends on us how me manage it and the difficulty level is medium it is based on what we have understood till now in studies we have studied.

My Life at Parul University as a computer science student

Likes

The collage infrastructure is really good and vibrant, it is well developed.
Campus life is really good, there are food courts, playground, libraries avaliable.
The whole campus has wifi avaliable, they've got atm too.

Dislikes

there are quite a few restrictions like no roaming allowed after 9:30pm.
mess food is not so good, its managable but sometimes it feels miserable
for every small thing to be done, lots of paperwork is required whether you need to go outside the campus or needs a NOC

Placement Experience:

in my unversity, proper placements usually start from 7th sem, however after 4th sem, the collage provides the opputunity to go for impact traning if youve got more than 60% in your 10th, 12th and throughtout the semesters from that traning top permorning student get a chance to sit for product-based companies. as of now (jan 2026), the highest placement recorded is 60lpa at microsoft, the average is aroudn 3.5 lps to 6 lpa, most of the recruiting companies are service based such as capgemini, infosys, tcs etc. around 200-250 students gets palce after heavy filtering, i plan to go for higher studies,

all faculty member is good give the best lecture.it is government college so all faculty come in the college
in the LD college placement is super till now because most of company same as other private college
infrastrure is quite good here all side greenary and animals all other.and many social activity happend

My Life at D.D.I.T

The campus life is great as the atmosphere it consquires is way better than the three experiences I have had at Maharaja sayaji rao university of vadodara, Vishwakarma government Engineering college and Parul University respectively. The atmosphere
The atmosphere cultivates studying and friendly competition Between the peers,it doesn't quench that competitive Nature and rather it amplifies it, also the boy girl ratio is good.
The faculties are the best, and it's not just me all the students feel that way as some faculty are from IITS and some are very experienced and have had decades of research experience in that field.

Dislikes

I think here you focus a lot more on studies rather than extra curricular activities so I think that can be improved
There are too many lectures in a day, conpared to my friends in svit I have around 2 hours worth more of lectures
The wifi and connectivity and there being counsellors is stated but it not implemented intensively

Placement Experience:

The placement are one of the best in Gujarat for chemical engineering as the average package is on the higher side, at 6,50,000 and the highest package has reached 16,00,000. - students are eligible from the 7th semester for placement - some companies that have visited are Reliance Atul Bear L&T G.S.F.C Etc - around 70% of the batch was placed last year. - my plan is to prepare for Gate examination after/around my graduation.

IIT Gandhinagar from the eyes of a First Year

Likes

The Sports Complex is a major highlight of IIT Gandhinagar.
The Campus Amenities are top notch and it is a fully green Campus.
Faculties are Expert in their Respective Fields and teach very well.

Dislikes

The Course Load is very High and you will get very less free Time.
The Exams are quite challenging and you have to keep thinking out of the box.
Some lectures such as World Civilization and Cultures are very boring.

Placement Experience:

Placements this year have become better. 4th Years are sitting for Placements right now. Top companies include Infosys, Oracle, De Shaw, Nvidia, etc. All Data is available in the Placement Report which is available on the IIT Gandhinagar Website. Till May 4, 2024 69 % Students have been placed. I plan to go for a masters after my degree.

the discipline of VVPEC and strictness towards academic studies , ensures focused environment
the college encourages students through substantial scholarship of 25,000 INR for top student in each class to motivate.
well-equiped library facilities provide resources for research and learning

lack of emphasis on sports initiatives , less opportunities for physical activity and team spirit.
stringent policies limiting cultural events and less vibrancy in campus lifestyle
very limited option in canteen and limited space to hangout with friends .

from semester 6th , placements drive is begun talking about my course , Biotechnology engineering , there was NO PLACEMENT DRIVES. But our hod will definetly help in getting great jobs according to your requirement. And help in GATE exam preparation is very minimal , so one shall prepare it by themselves.

The campus life is so good and there are many clubs
As the faculty of technology and engineering MSU is best colleges so good placement opportunities
Infrastructure is also good labs are well maintained

Dislikes

Benches are very old and some are very poor for sitting it
Very shoretst ground as compared to other prestigious collage and also in other faculties
And i personally feel, recess time is so small period, students can not manage

I am proud of to be student of Dharam Singh Desai University.

I apply for LDCE and vgc for civil engineering. But when I when I see this college review and all the things like infrastructure faculties College fees and good placement ratio so that I choose this first and the other one is the second and third. I proud to take admission in this college and I feel that this college is very much good as LDC and vgc engineering College in instruction in placement and faculties and etc. in our civil field there are no such placement in other colleges but in this college according to the senior the average placement is around 4.5lpa to 5 lpa . I scored in my 12 science PCM around 80% and in gujcet 61 marks out of 120 and my rank is about 11824 out of 40000. In this college the civil department cut off is for general category is around 10000. In this college there are many branch available and the highest placement is in Cse and EC department and ic also.
