Amit Kumar's Review On Sharda University, Greater Noida

GOOD HIGHLIGHT- fully wifi enabled campus, excellent infrastucture, global exposure, decent faculties, dynamic environment. BAD HIGHLIGHT- Core branch placement, poor management, high fee.

I have qualified AIEEE now JEE mains in 2011 with rank around 70 thousand in sharda unversity there are two mode of admission either by qualifying JEE mains or by taking a seprate online examination conducted by university in various cities across india followed by an interview i took admission for good global exposure and international environment.

B.tech with mechanical stream is extensive 4 years programme with theortical and practical subjects in each semester adequate labs are available and most of the faculties are from NITs or IITs with good knowledge of subject matters. Now sharda university is starting a new course B.Tech Hons which is bit industry oriented in which students will learn about industrial applications of various subjects.

I have internship in many organisations like SAIL steel plant, TVNL, IEL most of the students do internships in companies by their own but if required university also help students to do internships in various comapnies while most of the mechanical companies do not provide stipend for industrial training instead you may have to pay registration fee in PSUs or others.

With decreasing offers from core companies in most of the private universities very few core comapnies came for campus placements but significant number of IT, Software companies visited the campus like Birla soft, Tech mahindra, Barclays, cummins india, bosch etc. most of the students from CS and IT stream found jobs avg salary was around 1.8 lac and highest was 5 lac per annum for students from core streams there are very opportunites provided by university.

CHOROUS is annual festival celebrated by university every year in month of february it is claimed to be north india largest college fest number of events are organised like singing, painting, treasure hunt, nukkad natak, ramp walk, futsal, battle of band in three day of events. Various celebrities like sonu nigam, kk, raghu, ranvijay, mj5, etc have performed.

University provide state of art Hostels both ac and non ac to its students on sharing basis with all facilities avaliable like drinking water, good meal, 24 hour power back up, security and WI-FI mess food is highly hygenic with four times a day fees for hostel is rs90000 for non ac rs 110000 for ac there are lots of pgs and nooms available on rental basis in near by locations so by spending around rs6000 per month you can easily reside outside the hostels.

University provide scholarship on basis of merit based on the performance in 12th board and in competitive examinations apart from that scholarship based on sports quata is also available. Educational loans can be availed from most of the banks university has also tie-up with various banks like SBI, HDFC, CENTRAL BANK,PNB etc students from reserved categories can avail post matric scholarship from their respective states.

Gender ratio is nearly same with students from different countries thus provides a dynamic environment to study and enjoy your college life number of events in sports, singing, dancing, debating takes place regularly with participation from international students there are lots of clubs, groups are available where you can showcase your inner talent there is seprate gender sensizition group is established ragging is negilible strong antiragging unit is working.

My seniors are in differnts sectors now some are in foreign also some are working as engineer in many top organisations and few are preparing for civil services also so sharda alumni are in various highly reputed posts and organisations.
