Course Curriculum Overview

5

I would rate it 5 out of 5. So, basically i had my bachelors in English and i further wanted to pursue the same for my masters in a reputed global college, therein i pursued for it in Sharda University. The area of improvements could include the vast coverage of syllabus in short period of time. The teaching methods should contain more presentations and interactive sessons. The exam timing and frequency was perfect. There was no delay in exams or results. The curriculum prerpares us for competitive exam too.

Placement Experience

5

The placement here at Sharda was too good. Students start attending the Placement interviews and calls from the last semester. I was personally made into 4 companies and 4 offer letters were offered to me. The average package is 3.8 lakhs per annum and highest was about 11 lakhs. There is 100% placement in every dept. but it depends on students if they want to attend or not. After getting the degree i studied for my PhD entrace and now i am working.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total tuition fees was about 90k per year. Including other expenses and fees it increased to 1,20,000 per year. The scholarship as provided to those students who used to crack the highest mark in the class. Other than this, English Dept had no other charges. The fees for labs were genuine as we were allowed to take our extra lectures and attend any workshops. The fees for my batchmates were same as mine apart for those candidates who used to get scholarship.

Campus Life

5

The overall experience was perfect at Sharda University. There were many fets going around the campus. The freshers had different namesin evey year. The library was full of positive vibes and books and journals were widely available. Sports and Extracurricular activites were offered in the campus widely. Students who wanted to pursue had to attend the club and get registered. There were amny groups like NSS, NCC and other literary groups which played a major role in every student's life.

Admission

I applied at Jain University Bangalore, but i landed over Sharda due to its features of curriculum and better campus placement. I made through Jain University but i never wanted to limit myself to one dept only. MY interest lied in exploring different department and exchanging conversations with intelletuals of other department. The admission process of my college is to first fill up the form and then sit for SU Interview. The basic eligibiltiy was 55% in BA.

Faculty

5

The MA English Dept at Sharda University had a 1:40 ratio and it was highly balanced class. Everything was kept professional. All the professors were liked by every single person. The course consists of 4 to 5 subjects and the level was moderate to high but in regards to failure percentage it was 2 out of 50 students. The course had one best paper that is Research methodology which is relevant in our UGC NET JRF Exams.

Interview Experience

5

Yes, there was GD and Interview after the entrance exam. The preparation started with basic knowledge of the subject of my stream with little GK. Good communication skill was the top most priority. The test consisted of 100 questions and in interview they asked for any topic related to their interest.

Night Life

5

There were almost 6-7 cafeterias, and 4-5 in house small restuarant. The timing of their opening was morning 8 which ran till 10 pm. Hostel had their own in out timing. For girls the out timing was morning 7 and in timing was 8pm. And for boys they had little more extended time. The famous hangout place inside was inside mandela hostel cafe and outside it was Jagat farm. The safest area at night for only boys to roam was inside the campus itself.

Other Applied Colleges

Lovely Professional University - [LPU] | Ph.D. (English)

Due to less Stipend.

The admission is on the basis of graduation marks. The college allocates seats strictly on the basis of the academic record of the person. The college is closest to my home, that’s why I chose this college to be my first choice of graduation.

Remarks:

My college provide best education and hostel facility in india.Security is very good. Managment is very good.Transport facility inside the campus in now very good. Placements : The institute actually has very good placement records due to its outstanding alumni and also due to the presence of placement and training cell working day and night to indulge its students with skills and leadership. So, the placements in our college have never been a problem. Infrastructure : With almost hundred years on the calendar, our campus is luxurious from inside and filled with modern day necessities from inside. We have every resource that a student wants in his college life such as largely spaced room, Wi-Fi everywhere around the campus and many more things. So, the campus is unmatched. Faculty : The faculty members are nice, and I found them very helping and motivating. On the other hand, the course curriculum is a bit boring but essential too. A load of academics is very less compared to other IITs and hence students can do anything they want and could carry on their interest. I feel very proud to be a part of IIT BHU. Other : There are three main fests in our college, Kashiyatra, Technex and Spardha. All the fests are held at very high level. Participation from many IITs, NITs and other different colleges from many parts of India make our fests super big and exciting.
