Remarks
College Management,they focused on money mainly. There was lot of fine if anything went wrong from students side. But they also tried to bring Best for the students. The college is yearly improving.
Course Curriculum Overview
Exam Structure was Semester wise. There was industrial visits, Placement was less. There will be internals every month, We need to score a prescribed score in that. That score will be added to University mark list. Labs and other practical knowledge given was 'okey' We were able to adjust with that.
Placement Experience
Placement department was there at college. But the placement was high for the CS department. Mechanical the placement was less. Placement department brings a team yearly for final and third year students to let them know how to attend a Interview. It was just like a mock practice. For placement there will be first a written test,then a group discussion and later selected students will have Interview.
College Events
There was many Cultural and Technical Events. One of the main Cultural and Technical program named Shree devi Sambhram is very famous event in Mangalore. 3 days continuous festival, for Students from any other colleges can participate. There are also inter college festival.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The course was expensive, For Mechanical the fee was around 1.35 lacs per year. There was also fine if we were not able to pay the fees at correct time. They accept cheques,DD and Online transfer of money. No additional charges is there for admission.
Fees and Financial Aid
No. I didn't apply for any. Loans are easy to get, you can approach a bank with documents given by college to avail a educational loan.
Campus Life
The campus was okay. Everyone was friendly. There was everything we needed like labs, ground and bus facilities.No problem about religion, politics etc. Peaceful. We celebrate each and every occasions like Onam and other occasions. Life was okay and we could manage anything in that college.
Hostel Facilities
First year it is compulsory for non Karnataka students to stay in hostel. Hostel was good,but the food was not that much good. A group of three members has to stay in a room. But it was okay. There was a one toilet and one bathroom for two rooms. Plenty of seats are available at Hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors they were good. No issues on ragging as it is a strong offence. We used to interact with them. And also there is an alumni group, but I think that is not cent percent effective.
Admission
I was interested to Mechanical Engineering. I knew about this college through my friend. So I visited there and I liked the ambience and took admission in management quota. The Institution was under Visvesvaraya Technological University, and also there is Year back system.
Faculty
Mechanical Engineering Department faculties were good, There was faculties ages from 25-45. Some of them were doing their M.Tech while teaching and others had already completed M.Tech. The facilities were okey and most of them had a good knowledge in subjects. They were having clarity about the subjects.
