Course Curriculum Overview

It's known by all that as we come under Anna University the curriculum is vast. I personally don't feel the subjects we learn are directly used for research purpose. At the end of each day it's the responsibility of an individual to correlate with his life about what he has studied. We do have industrial visits taken during each semester from 2nd year.

Placement Experience

Yeah, there are many companies visiting our colleges with good salary packages. The college placement cell is doing a great job.

College Events

It is the place where many of our students are being disappointed. The events conducted in our college too less compared to other's. As a student we do expect in this field. We do have technical competitions rarely. I have completed 2 years in this college , but have seen only a hand count of technical competitions held.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of our college is similar to that of other Engineering college but the Hostel fees(Rs80,000) is not that worth since the infrastructure is not that better. For day scholars the fees is affordable. I am paying Rs.108000/year A few are paying just 40k,73k. The Bus fee for the college is 35,000 but it is not that worth since the busses are not same for all route.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah, I have availed for study loan from Vijaya Bank(Bank Of Baroda) which is nearer to my college it almost took 6 month for me to complete all the process. And I have also applied for BC Scholarship via my college.

Campus Life

To be frank I didn't get any college feel in my college. I personally feel the infrastructure is worse than compared to many other colleges in TN or in Chennai. The importance given to sports is comparatively less. There are some project competition held once every year. We do have some extracurricular competition held during some important days of the year.

Alumni/Alumna

At present, I don't have any network or relation with our alumni, but I have a network with the present seniors. They provide us with a lot of ideas in all fields.

Admission

I am Gowtham , I have scored 353/500 in my CBSE class 12 examination. I have scored only 112/200 TNEA cutoff score. I came in 4th round of TNEA counselling. I had no reason to choose the course at first and I was not at all interested in Computer related course since I have completed my class 12 in Biology. After joining into the IT department of my college.

Faculty

Though I personally don't like seeing the vast syllabus. The teaching faculties are the one who makes us love these subjects. The teaching faculties are such talented here. We do are that blessed to have got such a helping teacher. The teacher-student interaction is that mesmerizing here.

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.
