Remarks

The college management is too good. They let students to not only learn subjects but also help a student to develop his or her skills in other areas too like organising, social interaction, problem handling etc

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is so designed perfectly that what the student studies in the classroom can be experienced by him or her in the lab simultaneously. But the syllabus needs to be updated to the industrial requirements. It is the only drawback of it. Students are taken to industrial visits starting from second year to anywhere across the country.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements of the college is awesome. Almost all students get placed into good companies with a good package. The placements are one of the best features of SSN. It is almost unparalleled to other colleges in the zone.

College Events

4.5

The college has plenty of different events from technical to non technical. The two major events are Invente which is the college symposium which is a technical festival and the other is Instincts which is a cultural festival which takes place for 3 days. There are still various events organised by various clubs in the college. The Invente and Instincts are too big and there is a good attention to these events from other colleges all over the region.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The program fee is around 2 lakhs for undergraduate program. The college accepts payment of fees thourough DDs, cheque, Paytm too. The college fee is pretty feasible and worth it when compared to all other institutions. There is transparency in the fee structure and the college does not demand any hidden fee from the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers various scholarship to the students for their studies. The college also funds for students who work on projects. The college provides funds worth 4 crore a year. The selection criteria for merit scholarship is the GPA of the previous year. There is also walk in walk out scholarship, sports scholarship, rural students can avail entire free cost education etc.

Campus Life

5

The gender ratio is pretty good. There are almost as girls as there boys in the college. The cultural societies are diverse and the tolerance among students is awesome they respect each others cultural values and support each other. Most of the students who study here are pretty economically stable.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel rooms are pretty good and there is option to avail single rooms too. Generally in a shared room thouree students will be accommodated. The bathourooms are cleaned daily and kept clean always. The rooms are better when compared to most of the colleges in the state.

Alumni/Alumna

Many of the alumni of the college are top personalities in their respective domain. They are examples for the upcoming juniors to the college. The seniors while we study are too friendly and the bond we share between is like siblings. They not just guide us but also enjoy with us and try to get closer with us.

Admission

The electrical and electronics engineering is my favourite subject from the school days of my life so I chose to opt for this course. The factors which made me choose SSN was the freedom and respect to ideas they offer here. The selection process is thourough single window counselling conducted by Anna University and there is also separate entrance exam followed by interview to take students for management quota seats.

Faculty

4

There are about 20 lectures in the department, the average age of them is around 35 to 40, almost all of the faculties are PHd scholars and still do projects in their respective domain. The staff and student relationship is good and they help students who come to them with doubts and ideas.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
