Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of the course is very thoroughly planned. It groom your skills from very basic level to a professional level. The institute conducted many workshops, seminars and various other programs to help students to get familiar with the industrial field and visits were also organised for the students. For eg In civil engineering survey camps and site visits were organised for the students to get field knowledge
Placement Experience
Placement of college is somewhat average. As the college is in remote location and also a disturbed area so not many companies visit th college campus. Placement for core branches like civil, mechanical, electrical is not as expected. However for branches like cse, it are quite good.
College Events
College hold many technical, cultural fest. Main fest which is the largest fest of state of Jammu and Kashmir is Techvaganza which is organised by the college annually which consiuof many programs, seminars and generally is conducted for 4-5 days. Other than that all festivals are celebrated inside the campus and cultural fest are also organised regularly
Fee Structure And Facilities
College fee structure is quite simple. Fee is to be paid semester wise. For each semester tuition fees of rs 39750 is charged along with 1600 rs for hostel accommodation and 12000 for mess fees and this fees is to be deposited at the start of each semester and can be deposited online at NIT SRINAGAR official site

College didn't provide any scholarships program however you can apply for scholarship as per your state regulations and if your state provide you any scholarship
Campus Life
Gender ratio is very bad in the college. However their is diversity in the campus and locatyof campus is very beautiful and it is one of the most beautiful campus in India. Their is a common hall for extra curricular activities and a very scenic playground. Many clubs are active in college and are quite active and organises many programs in their respective field.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I have opted for hostel. In first year their is Indus hostel in which 1 room is shared by generally 3-4 persons. So is the case for 2nd year. In 3rd year tawi hostel is alloted to students and in 4th year Jhelum hostel is alloted which accomodates 1 person per room. Each hostel has its seperate mess and water coolers and separate wardens
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni of the college and senior are very helpful and you should be in contact as they can guide you not only in professional way but also in day to day life inside the college campus. They can be helpful.
Admission
I got admission thourough the entrance exam known as JEE MAIN which is a must exam to get admission into NITs,CFTIs and some other institutions After clearing the exam I opted for the counselling which is generally 2-3 round and sometimes an additional round is also conducted if seats remains vacant in the colleges. I got this college in spot round and I got admission in this college as I was getting the branch which I want i.e civil engineering.
Faculty
The faculty at NIT SRINAGAR is very well experienced and have thorough knowledge and expertise in their respective fields. The lecture generally are of 90 minutes which basically focuses on all round development of students. Each department have specialised professor for each subject and all professors generally have Ph.D in their respective domain
