BBA Couse at Chandigarh University

BBA department is very nice. There is strictness so as to maintain discipline in the department.

The Syllabus of BBA at CU was quite good just like an MBA. All the basic knowledge of different functional areas are covered. It covers area like Marketing, Finance and Accounting, Banking and Insurance, Human Resource Management, Operation and Research domain. This enables a student to decide as which domain is the best for him keeping in view the strength and weakness.

Placement is quite good. About 45 to 50 percent students are placed as about 30 to 40 percent students want to go for higher studies and they don't opt for campus placement.

Most of the festivals of North India are celebrated at University level. The student's committees have been constituted and one student committee is related to event committee. This committee plans the event and participation are invited from the department so that all interested can involve in celebrating the event. Punjabi festival is celebrated with events like Giddha, Bhangra and short plays on the life of renowned personalities.

The fee is reasonable. One can pay the fee in 2 instalments also. Scholarships are also available for the deserving students. Scholarships and Tuition fee waiver is offered to the students keeping in view their individual case history. The University is not very strict or rigid with the fee. Many a time, Student is allowed to appear in the exam just on the more undertaking that the student will submit the fee as early as possible even after the exam.

There are two banks in the University, SBI AND HDFC Bank. CU has tie ups for educational loan. Both the banks have their respective policies for granting the educational loan. The process is simple and prompt.

There are more than 20 hostels for boys and girls. All basic facilities are available in the campus. Proper eatables, stationery shops, facility for indoor games, the facility for outdoor games are available separately for boys and girls. The environment within the campus is clean and it is worth living in the campus.

Being an old university, CU has a strong Alumni network. CU has a good network with its Alumni. Being old university, good number of CU students are spread through the length and breadth of the country. Moreover, many of the Chandigarh University is placed abroad and these alumni help the current students in their internship and placement.

Interest in BBA as I wanted to do an MBA. BBA course gives a sound foundation for MBA. After my 10th, I opted for Commerce stream and after 10+2, I was looking for colleges and universities for the BBA program. Doing BBA from University was a better option as the Professor of MBA and BBA are common and you get better exposure.

Faculty is experienced and well qualified. It is a student-friendly university. All efforts are made by the faculty members to give the best quality in terms of education. The faculty members discuss the case lets and business news with the students so that student should not be confined to the course books. The students are given projects and assignments.
