Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is set according to the University of Kerala norms. This 3 year course is divided into 6 semester with core and elective subjects, we have project work in the areas of secondary metabolitesenzymology biomedical techniques, cancer, medicinal plants, etc. We have regular practical classes which are very helpful and we enjoy those classes.
Placement Experience
Our college should focus on this segment. College should work hard to bring placement in campus and also set up a placement cell. We are very less placements in our college. Internships are not provided through our college, students should on their own.
College Events
Various events are hosted by our college from time to time, sports day, seminars, lectures on life sciences, quizzes, cultural events, festivals etc are organised by our college from time to time. There are participation from our department to these events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure of our college is feasible and as it is affiliated to university of Kerala the fee is regulated by them so there is very minimal fee in our college and students can pay the fee without my efforts. The fee is feasible for everyone. Examination fee are to be paid during examination registration those are different.
Campus Life
There are various extra curricular activities held in our college from time to time. We have huge participation in those. Labs of our college are well equipped with modern equipment which are very helpful for practical sessions. Sports competition and classes are also held. We have more girls in our department.
Admission
I got admission based on 10+2 marks, I applied by filling online form and later I was shortlisted according to marks scored and later was called for interview and got admission. One should have studied physics, chemistry and biology in 10+2 to get admission in this course.
Faculty
Our department had 2 faculty members and 1 non teaching staff member. The faculty members are specialized in fields of Biochemistry and have Post Doctorial training from leading National institutes. Our faculty members have the credit of more than 10 research publications in international and national journals. Their work in various areas of research such as Coconut Dietary fiber, plant biochemistry, protective role of antioxidants in cardiac disorders, diabetics etc. They are well qualified to teach us the course.
