Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum here is quite outdated and is not up to date with the recent company requirements, no one takes any initiative to improvise the syllabus it is getting blindly followed. Labs are average focus is always on the completion of the course and not on the learning. But the exams here are of quite a good level and the questions asked are sometimes surpassed what is taught in the class.
Placement Experience
Placements are quite awesome even in the so-called lower branches quality is not that much but yes up to 80% of placement occurs in every branch. Internships in the core sector are provided in the core sector by TATA in the 5 sem also based on your amcat score you can get internships even in ur 1 year.
College Events
OJASS - The annual techno-management fest, the second-largest fest in North India. CULFEST - is the cultural event of NIT Jamshedpur Both are the grand events of NIT JAMSHEDPUR with the participation of more than 2000 students coming even from other states coming to participate in our event.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite feasible with various scholarships available which students can take benefit of which is approved by the central government divided into several categories based on family income and your category which either remits your 2/3 tuition fees or your tuition fees as a whole as accordingly to the scheme you can avail benefit under.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are quite good with especially new hostels constructed for boys with a mega mess which serves two hostels with a capacity of about 2000 students every hostel has its separate mess and quality of food is quite good and infrastructure is quite clean with the green campus.
Admission
An ALL INDIA LEVEL EXAM known as JEE MAIN is conducted across the country through which a merit list is prepared which contains rank According to the percentile obtained after normalization procedure and then counseling round of josaa starts which declares the opening and closing ranks of various colleges category wise home quota is taken into consideration. After which I sealed the option and after the end of counseling reported to the college.
Faculty
Some of the faculty are excellent with foreign teaching experience but on the other hand, some are freshers they are trying to teach but the best part is students also take advantage of the situation rather than changing it.
