Remarks

Like any other institutions there are some good and bad things about our college, but overall it's good place to learn and grow.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Curriculum was theory based more amd less practical. It was also outdated but it is not college fault as it comes under pune university and the pune university sets curriculum. The college made sure that students get placements and students were groomed accordingly.

Placement Experience

3.5

The major IT companies that come for recruitment are Infosys, Cape Gemini, Wipro, Toshiba, etc. The process for placements are, first the aptitude test is taken, the technical test, then group discussion and hr round and finally technical interview.80 percent of our students usually gets placed and institute makes sure that students are properly groomed for placements.

College Events

4

Our college has various events mainly sports and technical and cultural. Sports events are meant for college students only and various sports are played. Cultural event is open for all but only for competitions the dj nights and annual day is only for college students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is bit expensive, 1 lac per year you can pay through dd or cheque. There is educational fee and tution fee also. The fee structure is quite transparent apart from this the fee structure also depends on caste, for reserved caste students fee is less and for open students fee is more.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not applied for scholarship or education loan, but college gives the facility to apply for scholarship and loan.

Campus Life

4

The gender ratio is not too disproportionate, but still there are few more boys than girls in the college. The campus life is good and the crowd is also very diverse as there are people from almost all religion, mostly indan. There are various extra curricular activities also.

Alumni/Alumna

The college seniors are quite helpful but the college life is so busy that there is hardly any communication with the seniors.

Admission

By taking common entrance test Maharashtra and scoring marks according to cut off of this college. Later CAP round was held and merit list was generated and based on the list admission were granted. Stream were chosen by students but each stream had its own cut off.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of college is moderate, some of the teachers are good while some are not. All have basic knowledge, but very few teach the subject in depth. The practical are not thought properly as teachers don't make it interesting for students. More emphasis is given on assignments rather than actual practical.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
