Remarks

One of the best college to study Engineering. Experienced faculties, equipped laboratories, good industrial exposure, moderate placements. An encouraging environment. The college is at NH, so is easily accessible. Bus facilities are available from all parts of Chennai. Canteen, Mess, hostel facilities are average. The working time in college is more. For freshers, orientation programmes are organised. The anti-ragging committee is organised. Other than curriculum, sports, NSS, seminars, Guest lectures are also given equal importance.

Placement Experience

Placement training starts from 3rd year itself. Entrepreneurship awareness camps are organised. IT companies and fewer core companies hit us for placements.

We have symposium events organised every year and cultural events too. Classrooms are provided with good ventilation facilities and cleaned periodically. There is a general library and separately a department library.

the classrooms in specialization are air conditioned

the attendance is strict at 75% and subject attendances upto 80%
you cannot exit campus before 3.15 pm under any circumstances

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

High fees the government college but charging high fees making it difficult for students from lower income background to access quality education
often have limited seats dealing to intense competition and disappointment for some students

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.

I applied to Chennai Institute of technology where the fee structure was enormously high. Ehere as the SRM valliammai has good infrastructure and also the fee was reasonable. No, i didn't get rejection from Chennai Institute of technology. But i got impressed when i went for visiting SRM valliammai as one of my college hunt. SRM valliammai offers both government quota and also admission directly to the college. I went through government quota. So to apply SRM on should be completed 12th grade with reasonable percentage.
