Remarks

I just want the college to have a better private bus stop facility. Except for that. The college is one who as ever dreamed of taking up engineering. Great management.

Entrance Preview

Not yet. Later as I am in final year. But the course that I chose was referred by my friend and a cousin of mine. He said me that this course has great outcomes and a very bright future and demand. So I decided to go on with it.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Curriculum is divided into several subjects. Basic electrical, EEM, field theory, network analysis, control systems, DSP, power system analysis and many more. With 2 labs every semester. It is a course divided into 8 semesters.

Internships Opportunities

There is no stipend offered. But we had our internships MESCOM, MANGALORE international airport. And industrial visits to KAIGA power plant, and thermal power plants too.

Placement Experience

5

Our college stands 1st in the number of placed students. Around 256 students were place last year. And in the present year 15 companies have arrived in 2 months and 150+ students have already been placed. There are around 190+ companies arriving every year. Companies like Infosys- 30000, Capgemini- 20000, Tech mahindra- 23000, L&t- 20000 Robosoft Airtel, IBM, HP, Jindal Indian, navy Merchant navy, Army Mindtree, UST global Sankalp semiconductors, Tessolve Polycab wires Xl dynamics, Slk software.

College Events

4.5

Electrical fests. Mechanical fests EC fests. Akrithi is celebrated fest in our college where all colleges are made to participate. Around 15-25lakhs budget is fixed for expenditures on this fest. With various technical competitions and extra curricular activities as well s coding.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is feasible. Mainly because our college provides more facilities and training with an affordable cost. Compared to nearby colleges. Canara engineering college is a less pay college.

Fees and Financial Aid

KarePass. A very good scholarship given to all the students with good grades. And about loan facilities. I don't know much but student loans are provided.

Campus Life

4.5

Labs are well maintained. Many equipments are present and are in good working conditions. Sport's is very well entertained in our college. We have bigger grounds for cricket and football. We go for cricket football and table tennis competitions every year. Robotics workshop is always given every semester based on levels. No discrimination done. Overall fantastic campus life and friendly disciplined people all around.

Hostel Facilities

5

Mess food is fantastic. Tastes pretty good. Healthy and hygienic. Quantity is a bit lesser but the quality is commendable. Hostel rooms are big enough an purely ventilated. 2 fans accommodate 2 people in one room with WiFi facilities. Cost of hostile is around 30000 without food. And mess is 1000 per month. It is affordable as we get 3 meals a day. PG costs around 25000 per year. And the food in the near by hotels are cheap and healthy as they make as a home food.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful. They guide us on studies as well as sport activities. They let us do volunteering in fests. Great people. Alumnis is very broad and helpful. They guide us by giving us training.

Exam Structure

Exams are usually tough as we come under a university known as VTU. So the question papers are considered to be eay at times and in some cases the questions go above standards. Labs are easy as they are practical.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty of our college is one of the best in the near by region competitively. They teach us by giving various examples. And they take us deep into the core of the subject. Great experience. Student friendly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the NIAT curriculum around four out of five. In my opinion, it is good that the curriculum is not only based on theoretical studies. The inclusion of coding, projects, assignments, and practical knowledge is quite engaging for the students, as they can apply the acquired information in practice. Additionally, I find the curriculum up to date compared to the standard Btech syllabus, which mainly focuses on theoretical background. However the curriculum could have fewer assignments, as some of them are rather time consuming and require additional study to achieve a better understanding of a particular subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally, I was interested in ECE course since I liked working around chips and was intrigued by how they worked, which is what led me to choosing this course. The curriculum is not the best for real-world applications since the syllabus is pretty outdated. The teaching does involve smart boards and can be visual as well, but it can be utilized better by the professors. A semester lasts for around 5 months, with the last month only involving SEE (Semester End Examinations) and the first four months consisting of 2 CIE tests in the 2nd and 4th months. It also involves practical examinations.

Placement Experience:

The on-campus usually starts in 6th Semester. A company called MathCo was the first company it came for the role of analyst. Around 5-7 people got selected. The average package would be usually around 4-4.5 LPA, but highest package was 6.25 from PlanetSpark for role of Sales. The percentage is nearly to 10-12%. After degree, get a job and work for atleast 2 years for learning current trends is my basic thought as of now.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course I adopted since I couldn't do my neet. In 2nd year I thought of taking CSE . I GOT MANY SEATS IN OTHER COLLEGES FOR OTHER COURCES. But I wanted to adopt only CSE based . I mean social or economical or design thinking and scientific foundation.. these courses are of no use while learning engineering so this might be the drawback . Exams are conducted very strictly in our clg and I appreciate that !
