Remarks

Its good that i have lived through this stage. I have experienced good and bad times. But bad times come to teach the lesson of life and i have learnt it. I know failure and success is just a phase of life. Nothing is permanent. So i won't be depressed if i lose or fail. This life taught me to be optimistic at all stages of life. It made me confident. I know that if i want something in life no ones just going to come and give me that. I should go and get it on my own and i will all the time now. My college life was memorable.

Entrance Preview

None i took, i went in as a management student. I scored 58% and i chose GMIT cause it the campus was cool and i liked it.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Couse curriculum is not that good, cause vtu plans totally bad. I mean for some too much and for some nothing. What we study is completely irrelevant or expired for what we do today. Still it is a theory oriented so can't expect much from it. I study a lot outside than in the subjects cause i love computing.

Internships Opportunities

IBM came and i was selected for the final round but the interview process was for whole day i was exhausted so i couldn't give my best in the final round so i couldn't get into it. The package was 2.8 lpa. Apart from that i did my internship in the magneton technologies as a web application developer. I developed two main projects. And for my final year project i am working on social networking website for students.

Placement Experience

3

They are still coming so can't really say much about it. We are expecting many companies in the coming semester, SLN softwares - 3lpa, IBM - 2.8lpa these are the companies that came for the CS.

College Events

5

A lot of events have been celebrated in my college which i was a part of i did the mallika anchoring, i designed the posters for it and edited the videos for advertisements which came on tv. I won 2 first prizes in the Delta(National level tech fest) in Hire of Fire round and Debate. I also got second price in one more debate in BIET college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible i pay 85,000 Inr every year not too expensive considering other expenses that i have. I ride my own vehicle so probably everything fits in right place.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't have any idea about it cause my family does not have any problem with providing me with the needs that i need . So i did not check about anything. But it provides the facility of tracking the scholarship from others but as far as i know my college does not give any scholarships on its own.

Campus Life

4

Im pretty good with doing the stuff like debates i won't 1st price in debate in my college and 2nd in BIET college. In my free time i learn programming and i develop software applications on my own. I like exploring the computer world and stay updated with the latest technologies.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There is a lot of complaints about the food in the hostel. But apart from that the hostel facility is well equipped with the wifi for everyone and the speed is ok.

Alumni/Alumna

I am a senior now. I have no idea what alumni network is doing but the seniors were good and they were busy when they were here. They didn't actually help us with anything but still i didn't needed any help with anything. I could manage everything on my own. Like give me an idea i give you an app like that. So i was always better than my seniors in all scenarios. Except the academic side.

Exam Structure

After labs they left a couple of days like 10 days for studying for the exam. So yeah i had enough time to prepare for the exam. Still if we have the backs the scheduling is not good cause they may have like in the morning and afternoon continuously so not a good thing with that but apart from that everything is fine.

Faculty

2.5

Some are good and some are below average. But still this is common in all the college and its all on me so i don't really blame on anyone i just do my work and get along with everyone.

S-VYASA Deemed-to-be University School of Advanced Studies Collaborating with NIAT, Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the NIAT curriculum around four out of five. In my opinion, it is good that the curriculum is not only based on theoretical studies. The inclusion of coding, projects, assignments, and practical knowledge is quite engaging for the students, as they can apply the acquired information in practice. Additionally, I find the curriculum up to date compared to the standard Btech syllabus, which mainly focuses on theoretical background. However the curriculum could have fewer assignments, as some of them are rather time consuming and require additional study to achieve a better understanding of a particular subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally, I was interested in ECE course since I liked working around chips and was intrigued by how they worked, which is what led me to choosing this course. The curriculum is not the best for real-world applications since the syllabus is pretty outdated. The teaching does involve smart boards and can be visual as well, but it can be utilized better by the professors. A semester lasts for around 5 months, with the last month only involving SEE (Semester End Examinations) and the first four months consisting of 2 CIE tests in the 2nd and 4th months. It also involves practical examinations.

Placement Experience:

The on-campus usually starts in 6th Semester. A company called MathCo was the first company it came for the role of analyst. Around 5-7 people got selected. The average package would be usually around 4-4.5 LPA, but highest package was 6.25 from PlanetSpark for role of Sales. The percentage is nearly to 10-12%. After degree, get a job and work for atleast 2 years for learning current trends is my basic thought as of now.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course I adopted since I couldn't do my neet. In 2nd year I thought of taking CSE . I GOT MANY SEATS IN OTHER COLLEGES FOR OTHER COURCES. But I wanted to adopt only CSE based . I mean social or economical or design thinking and scientific foundation.. these courses are of no use while learning engineering so this might be the drawback . Exams are conducted very strictly in our clg and I appreciate that !
