Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University - [PDUSU] is one of the best colleges in Rajasthan and provides a wide variety of courses to the students. The infrastructure is honourable and well tried and the faculty are always ready to chaperone the students to the right path.
I had opted for LLB and the duration of my course was three years. We had subjects such as Law of Contract, Law of tort, Family Law, Constitutional Law, etc. Apart from the theory, we had practical paper on Public Interest Litigation, Court Ethics, Para Legal Services etc. The exam paper is of 100 marks and the final assessment includes the marks of our practical exams. Since i was pursuing law, i had gigantic amount of research work such as case laws, judgements, articles, etc.
The university provides for over 75% placement every year to the students of LLB. They have many well established law firms coming in to select the best of the students and many students opt to work under individual practitioners for a better understanding of law in the higher courts.
The fees of the LLB course at this college is fairly high around 50,000 INR a year, for 3 years, but the facilities make up for it. The fees can be paid in installments by the people who are unable to pay the amount altogether.
This college also offers extra curricular activities Moot Court Competitions, Debate Competitions, cultural events, sports events and other activities to provide stability to the students and their college life.
The hostel facility is provided by the college along with a warden for both the boys' as well as the girls' hostel. The rooms are large and can accommodate 2 people with seperate beds and cupboards. The hostel also has a common bathroom attached and meals 3 times a day.
The Alumni and the senior students are well to do and are a guiding light to the juniors. They have always ushered the juniors into doing the right things, helping them with academics and have encouraged them to stand on an equal footing as the others.

A meme that I read another day precisely puts my views about college in perspective. " A college is like looking left and right before crossing the street and getting hit by an aeroplane". The positive aspects is brand name of National Law Universities and negative aspects can be overburden course and examination system that promotes mediocrity.
Overall the college is good to pursue Law in the city but it is not the best college. If you are serious about doing law and making a career in this field. Than this college should not be on your 1st preference list. Though you can keep it as a back-up college.
