No comments. The college is all good by all means.
Yes, the course curriculum and exam structure is relevant, research-driven and fair. I got to learn so many newer technologies which helped me in my professional life. It doesn't have so many on-campus placements but if you go for an off campus, you're surely gonna crack them. Yes, there were industrial visits organised for students.
Kahuna Systems, Picus tech, Innovseed, TCS, Torrent power, Wipro, Bosleo LLC, La net and so on. You can check them on the website. Steps followed are: Apptitude Test followed by Group Discussion followed by Technical Personal Interview followed by HR Discussion. Tentative percentage of students placed every year is 60 and above. Yes, the institution take special steps to prepare the students for placement reason.
Verve is the cultural festival. Updates is a technical festival and we have GTU Techfest held most of the time in our college which is university level festival. Almost many students from different colleges come to our college for participating in our fests. There are more than 300 students which comes to festivals.
It has a feasible fee structure. Mode of payments are : cheque and cash. My program fees was around 75k per year. Yes, college does provide transparency in the fee breakdown. There are no additional fees that had to be paid in order to secure and admission.
No there is no scholarship provided by the college as per my knowledge. May be they have started after I got passed out.
Its 50 50 basically. The college is not at all partial in terms of gender, ethnicity, religion. There is no political issue as well. The college is very diverse. I never got affected with this kind of issue nor even I heard if anyone was suffering from it.
Yes, for sure. Our senior helped us in all ways and ready to help after college, too. With the help of some seniors, I got a project idea and also they helped me a lot in my project.
On the basis of 12th percentage and JEE score, you will get admission through ACPC process. I choose Computer engineering because of my interest and the job opportunities available in market. I choose SCET, Surat because it is the best college nearest to my home and the culture is so good.
Around 25 professors are there where 15 are Ad-hoc and 10 are senior most professors. Qualifications of all lecturers are above M. tech where some of them are pursuing P. hd. Almost all are expert in their own subject. Some of the lecturers are having industry experience and certifications.
Campus placement is good. Many companies came like Nvidia, Wipro, Infotech, cognizant. You will get placement on basis of your grade report as a minimum of 7-8 spi is needed to seat in the placement interview. After semester 6 means at the end of the 3rd-year company arrived at college for internship and based on your performance in your 2-3 months internship you may get full-time work in that company. The average of students placed in ece department is around 80%. This is less because some students were interested in Startups and some were interested in Future abroad studies so they don't sit in college placement. I plan to take a job after studies if I get the job according to my requirement.
Students become eligible only in the 4th year for campus placement. Accenture, TCS, Wipro, HCL, Infosys, Mitsubishi, LG, Haier, Byjus, TCL, Samsung, HBSC bank, etc. And many startups also visit the college. Highest around 12.3 lakhs for software developer and median around 3.75 lakhs for the system engineer, testing engineer, software developer, web developer, app developer, customer support services, etc. Around 85-90% of students who applied for placement gets placed in 2020.
Awesome placement, even the BSc, BBA graduates have offered 10 lakhs package and an average of 5-6 lakhs in Adani ports, L&T, dedicated freight corridor, metro corporation etc, no BTech placements yet as we are the first batch, Internship each year from college in railways.
I choose this course because in the future it has a lot of meaning and the depth is beyond limits. I'm still really involved in this course. The best thing about our course is that the industry never stops having a wide demand, and there are uncountable companies such as small, medium and MNCs providing job opportunities. The course could have a little more technical expertise, and it should be compulsory to have job experience including internships or technical training. Over the year, numerous activities take place at the college, each of which is a celebration and an opportunity to highlight your abilities and talents. A technological fest, a cultural fest, a sports fest, a DJ night, a Garba night, etc are held. The campus community is all acquainted with each other and enjoys all the festivals with each other. Connectivity is not a problem, and the college is situated in the centre of the city, accessible by any sort of public transport, such as city buses, cars and personal vehicles.
JEE Main - 2016 - 96 (marks) and GUJCET is also accepted by the college.
After 7th semester the students are able to eligible for campus placement 10-15 MNCs visited our college
For Jobs and placement, the college has a dedicated placement cell. they improving our soft skills and conducting the mock interview and group discussion to exploring more our self. although overall placement is not good at all we need to put our 100% then only we can get something better.
My college doesn't support any Extra curricular activities, they just force students to get only bookish knowledge, even though of you try to get permission to work on some projects on your own they won't allow is to do so.
