Remarks

College is good in academics, but some students seem disinterested in studies. There is not much discipline which, obviously looking from a university point of view is not necessary. You have to be self disciplined, or you will get distracted easily.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course is quite relevant. The course consists of many sub divisions, so it becomes easier for us to clear our basics and hence we can focus on that particular subject in which we want to make our career on. Also there are not much irrelevant subjects which may lead to distraction from the core branch. There are five unit tests in each semester and two semesters. Final year projects are also mandatory which is quite good as students gain a lot of practical knowledge essential from placement point of view.

Placement Experience

2.5

There are a lot of companies that visit the college for on campus placements, though they are mostly sales recruiters. Placement cell doesn't help much for the preparation, you need to do a lot of research before appearing for an interview.

College Events

2.5

College celebrates the annual fest during the month of march every year, which is a 3 day event with a star attraction on the third day, apart from that, there are other events as well organised by the respective clubs of our college. There is also a fresher party event organised every year. For participation, you need to contact your club. You can enroll for two clubs by giving your names to the club.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For Btech the fees was around 1.2L which compared to the overall experience with the college is quite okay, though it might seem irrelevant sometimes, though the institute is fully transparent with the fee structure. Account office accepts cash, cheque and card while fee payment. There are no additional charges and the fee can be paid in two/three installments.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't opt for loan or scholarship though college does offer scholarship for students, they need to produce the income and domicile certificate to fill the scholarship form

Campus Life

3

Gender ratio of M:F is 70:30 though it may have increased now to 60:40. College has facility for sports like football, volleyball, cricket and there are other extracurricular activities like dance, music, fashion show etc. You yourself have to go out and get yourself enrolled in the club of your choice. Talking about life inside the campus, there is no ragging, though seniors may come for introduction of freshers. Seniors are supportive.

Alumni/Alumna

While in the college, there is good interaction with seniors but once you are passed out, there is no such thing as alumni meet.

Admission

I got admitted by appearing for an entrance examination, after a month of which, I was admitted to the university and began my course of Btech CS. As I was interested in computer science, I opted for CS, apart from that, the administrative staff of the college was very supportive and they guided me on every step, so I didn't have any issues regarding admissions.

Faculty

3

There are lectures and tutorial classes, basically approx 4-5 lectures a day and 2-3 tutorials, so if you had any doubts in the lecture, you can clear them in the tutorial classes. Moving down the hierarchy, HODs are quite experienced and have a lot of knowledge of their subject. But some of the new faculties were not much experienced in teaching, though they had quite good expertise in the subject. There were also industrial visits and certifications during the third and fourth years.

Placement Experience:

Placements are both on and off-campus based. Placements are usually common for both IT and Non-IT students, Technical or Non-Technical. Students become eligible, in their final years to pursue internships or acquire placements. Usually students from Computer Science and Engineering avail more placement opportunities. The Medical Department have more options of Employability. Companies like HCL, Byju's, Extramarks, IBM and other local companies like Stambh Power Systems, Pieinfocomm and others have arrived. But the placement ratio needs to be increased. Off-Campus Placements are more successful. Highest Package can be 8lpa CTC to average package be 2.5lpa CTC, with profiles of assistance and associates. Atleast 30% students get placed on average. My plans are based on Learning in different ways.
