There are weekly exams called Minors throughout the semester and an end semester exam is called Major. The University has a dedicated placement cell and representatives from each Departments for coordinating placement that is internship and job oppotunities for students. Last year companies like Delloite, Synchroni, Bridgi2i, Core Compete, TCS and many other offered job oppotunities to the students of M. Sc. Statistics. Around 90% of the students got placement in their 3rd semester. The companies usually follow a 4 step procedure in recruiting i. e, Aptitude Tests, Group discussion and Versant test and lastly personal Interviews of the candidates. I personally have obtained a internship at Indian Institute of Statistics, Machine Learning Unit, Kolkata.

Yes, I had opted for a hostel room and I have secured a hostel room in the campus. All the hostel rooms in the University Campus are sharing. But one can even get a personal room by paying double accomodation charges. There is enough hostel accomodation for the students of the University. The rooms in northern hostels are older and the hostels in the southern campus are specious and very well maintained since they are new. There are nearby PGs also which provide food and accomodation for around monthly 10, 000 INR.
The alumnis are generally invited in the annual events of the University and there is a lack of alumni networking. The seniors in the campus are awfully helpful and without them and their advises passing courses would be a nightmare as well as getting a job. They are basically our mentors outside classrooms for studies as well as for building ourselves as professionals.

Overall the academic and cultural environment leaves a neutral remark for the college. The college is not very good as compared to colleges of Central Universities but at the same time the college is not very bad as compared to the private colleges and in such low fee category.
My over all experience from the college was good from 5 years however some situations i have experienced was literally negative for me in some cases. transport facility was not much good. for any student needs we need to travel nearly about 10 kms to nearby village. Perhaps i did not find any negative or such like from this college
The fact that some of the top scorers across all national exams choose BITS hyderabad as their home for 4 or 5 years speaks more about it than one person ever could. For a truly magical time with a perfect balance between academics and all round development we all at BITS Hyderabad welcome you.
College is an active participants in all the major events taking place in the town. May that be sports, culture, debate competition, allocation competition etc any such kind of events, our college is definitely a part of such activities. This is undoubtedly the best college for students .I am pretty satisfied with this college but one bad thing about this college is that attendance is not mandatory so there are hardly any students who come college regularly.
The college management is excellent including the principal. I am pretty sure none of the students in the college would have anything bad to say for her. The overall environment in this college is based on the principal of providing the best.
