Remarks

Management was good. More campus and competitions should have been conducted. Electronics branch is well desciplined in perticular which should be followed by other branches and colleges

Course Curriculum Overview

It was really good. Being first batch of VTU it good syllabus at par with industry standard. Especially in electronic section where new syllabus like VLSI Design was added.

Internships Opportunities

I have not gone through any internship so no stipend offered to me. I have done project at the college campus itself. Also we had to attend college for few more subjects hence were not allowed to go for longer internship

Placement Experience

While I was studying there was recession hence no campus was conducted. Since there were no campuses conducted no offers made. Our previous batches had few offers made but sure about the offers.

College Events

See off parry to seniors and welcome party to juniors. Not many events were conducted. One big event per semester in name of welcome and see off party

Fee Structure And Facilities

No fee structure was feasible. Approximately 7000 INR for annual fee + 500 to 700 exam fee for each semester. So it was more convinient fee structure however now it has been changed to min 32000 INR.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. To best of my knowledge there was no scholarship program for GM category. But for SC/St there was some program. Don't know much as I have not availed it.

Campus Life

Campus life was good. There use to be sport competitions both intra and inter college. However not much on debate and robotics. Not many competitions were held

Hostel Facilities

No hostel facility was taken. Was at home town hence stayed at home. So no hostel availed. However got to know from the friends that it was not so good.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni are not much in contact of each other also not many senior and juniors made and effort to be in touch with each other. Though everyone is touch with their classmates.

Exam Structure

Each semester had internals with 25 marks and 100 marks for external and final exams. Minimum 40 out of 100 and internal + external put together it should be 50 minimum.

Faculty

4.5

Very strict and experienced. While in college felt they were too strict as compared to other branches but today we realise that they were preparing us for the better future. They always completed the syllabus with due detailing.

A great place for learning and career growth

Placement Experience:

Excellent placement training and reputed companies visit the campus. I had received offers from three companies which reflects the quality of opportunities available. Placement is one of the college's biggest strength. Student with no backlog and good academic records will get easily placed.

My life at CMR - University

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects like: we had 2 internal exams in the semester and after completing these internal exams roughly at the 5th month we had practical exam + end semester exams, these exams would be mainly theory based inclusing some conceptual based questions & based on our understanding only, we can able to write the answers. One thing, I would suggest was we shall give more weightage to the practical based learning, that too during our days we were just the beginning of AI & Iot era was effectively going on, if we had some advanced eductaion covering these aspects we would have got the opportunity to shine more in our carrers. As a student, we faced slight diffuclities and challenges matching the real-life happenings with the acdemics, that would be one of the shortcoming I can say.

My campus life so far

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the curriculum is well planned, balanced and easy to follow. We start with the basics and along with theory there's a good amount of coding practice, assignments, and hands on learning. I like that the course isn't just about passing exams, it also focuses on building skills that will be useful later for internships and placements. So far it feels relevant, practical and not overwhelming for someone who's just starting out.

One of the best colleges or universities for B Tech and pocket friendly

Placement Experience:

The College was there for more than 10 years , but there was only Post graduate courses available , like M-tech , Msc , etc. The College for B-tech has started just before 2 years , there are no batches which has been output till now. The students are also waiting to see the batches to get output and see the placements taking place. As a student I am also eager about the campus placements.

The college i go to

So basically the college which I am in very popular and very good back in the days people from other states used to come and study here and it was one of the good colleges in North Karnataka because the experience faculty was good and people had knowledge but now as we know the the stream computer science and other branches are booming and the AI is booming so the new faculty people need to catch up on it and the reason I couldn't go to other colleges is because of my ranking so get good result in your 12th and kcet n comedk due to which I couldn't go to other colleges...Read More
