SIT Bhubaneswar, B.Tech, Computer Science and Engineering

Reviewed on Jul 8, 2020

Remarks

My parents were not willing to send me out of the city. And I wanted to pursue my course in Computer Science and Engineering. My percentile was too low for me to secure seat in government colleges. And between private colleges, SIT was told to be the best . So I chose this college, along with CSE branch and even got selected in the first round itself. I like how everyone is dedicated to impart training to the students for a better experience in the field of technology and help us in envisioning a bright future. I opted the course of btech because I always loved coding, and btech provides a wide range of possibilities for career goals.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Our course syllabus is quite updated according to the latest technologies. We are provided with a lot of industrial exposure. The faculties are very nice and treat us very well, their behaviour is commendable and they are always very caring about all the students .

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 530000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Recently I had opted for an internship in Responsive Web Development which was through college itself. But that was only a learning process, so there was no stipend amount involved.

Placement Experience

Companies like TCS, Infosys, mind tree etc. Are the frequently visiting ones. We have an amazing batch of alumni who have made the college proud. "Biggies Burger" is a famous startup from an alumni of our college. The Entrepreneur Cell is very active and keeps conducting programs to enhance the skills of those who are interested in entrepreneurship.

College Events

3.5

All the cultural and technical fests are celebrated with a lot of dedication from the students' council. All the efforts are made to make it as big as possible. The participation is in good numbers. These shows are a great stage for many emerging talents like rappers, photographers, singers, dancers, anchors etc.

Campus Life

3.5

All kinds of sports facilities are available in our campus, there is wi-fi, size of the library is quite big to accomodate a large number of students . The labs also have all the equipments that are required in our experiments.

Decent faculty and top tier placements, just follow the rules

Likes

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

Dislikes

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

DRIEMS UNIVERSITY review after 5 year of frustrating experience legacy will be continued ????....

Likes

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.
