Remarks

Actually i took admission here accidentally it was not as my plan. The Gov alloted me the college so i couldn't opt out from this. I got a chance to change the college but I got attached to the people and the atmosphere immediately.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The syllabus was actually updated some extend to the current scenario. And off course we got some industrial exposure as there were industrial visits and internships during the accademic days. The faculties were too good. Actually one of our faculty Assistant Professor Aruna B was one of our favourite.

Class Size: 33Course Fees: INR 140000 per year

Placement Experience

There were number of placement drives in our institution. The companies include Infosys, Wipro, UST global, Byjus, and several other IT companies. There are several notable alumnis from our college. Nikita Hari recently named as one of the best women engineers in the world. She was the union president of the Cambridge University.

College Events

4.5

We are conducting our techno cultural fest named Quasso Liberum aka QL each year. Probably this is our biggest event in the college. Its one of the biggest techno cultural fest in the South India. Apart from this we got the Onam, Christmas celebrations in our college. Also we will conduct Game fest which includes the Football, Cricket, basketball, volleyball, amd badminton championships.

Campus Life

4.5

Our sports facilities were limited. We got only basketball, badminton and volleyball courts. But we got college teams for Cricket, Football, Throwball etc too. The campus got covered with WiFi facility everywhere. And got one of the best libraries and lab facilities in the industry.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Actually the hostel facility there was easy to avail. Mostly there were PGs. At the beginning year I was PG and then we 9 people rented a home and lived there. Average rent for the PGs was 4000 per month. Our house rent was 10,000 per month.

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year, project phases.
Fests, events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan, infosys, commandtech, bimlabs, gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

There is a lack of public transportation system like railway station here
There are lots of insects and others things here which is very disturbing during summer season
The main problem the students here are going through is the bad quality of hostel food that we get here

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA
