Remarks

Its vast allumunus association, placement rate, communication and transportation facility. It is surrounded by beauty of nature in form of hills,dams etc.this place is serene. The mess food is okay, no mess can actually satisfy its students. But outside hostel you can find every kind of food from streets to restaurants and price range as you like.As per class timings are pretty flexible and the professors are well qualified. Its reputation of ragging was of past, as of now i can assure you that 0% ragging is there.The hostels are pretty clean. You get free coaching for gate exam which is a absolute bonus for students aiming higher degree. Overall you can choose this University as you will be placed for sure and you can survive anywhere in the world when you leave this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is pretty decent and compact as par with nits and iits. Yes we have been exposed to industrial training in the internships provided in summer vacations. Faculties are very qualified you can get every kind of support from them. Sanjay Agarwal sir of ETC department is pretty good.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 280000 per year

Placement Experience

Many companies are visiting this college mainly mass recruiters like infosys,tcs,wipro, Accenture, cognizant. Technical companies like delloite, gyansys. Giants like maruti, tata etc.most opportunities are for EEE students.many more off campus drives are there including start ups organised by college itself.

College Events

This is the most amazing thing happens in the college cultural fest VASSAUNT has a big hype because students bodies work like robots to make it a beautiful fest with star night.

Fees and Financial Aid

Medha bruti scholarships is a scholarship for students having less income criteria, they can avail it by applying online form the provision is there in the college itself. Regarding loans student body loans are there for sbi and syndicate bank which is easy to avail ofcourse with showing original documents and with low interest rate.

Its an open campus, there are every facility available here. it has its own library building,separate labs for individual experiments, wifi is available in the campus. Regarding sports every individual sports has its own club and they get to represent the university in various competitions like cricket volley football karate athletics basketball etc.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are pretty old but it works okay. Now many brand new hostels are being constructed. Living will not be a problem, If you don't get hostel seat,u can live in rented PG around 2500-3000 per month.its easy avail hostel facility when you get admission even if you don't get it you can get it in second year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Have collabs with IBM, Samsung, Capgemini for RnD and NUS singapore , University of North Texas
Our college has hosted International Conferences like IEEE InGAARS 2025and Indocrypt 2025, where scientists had came from NASA, ISRO, all IITs, Foreign Universities, etc
Exposure is Good. The teachers here put efforts to teach and research. Unlike other colleges where teachers comes and roll out PPTs, here every teacher teaches on Board explaining everything properly

Dislikes

Few teachers speak in Odia accent, so it takes couple weeks to adjust
Campus is kind of small (36acres), but its good area for a IIIT, considering IIIT delhi is just 25 acres
3 occupancy hostels for 1st years (same goes for any other NIT/IIIT), but they have a option of single rooms from 2nd year

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

Teaching style of faculty is excellent and related to practical based

From 6th sem of completion eligible to sit in placement called by campus placement in university. Companies like accenture, techmahindra,tech bee,and wipro comes for hiring. Highest package till now is 29 lpa and lowest is 1.5 lpa. Average package is 5lpa. Mostly 80 percentage of students getting placement from campus drive. My plan after getting degree is getting job from campus drive.

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

I have applied to only Outr(formerly Cet Bhubaneswar). I have applied on the technical branches, but got none of them as my rank was around 152000. As Cet is not very good for its core branches, so I preferred Vssut over it. To get technical branches in cet bhubaneswar your rank should be under 50000 in Jee mains. The admission process is through the OJEE COUNSELLING. It is the counselling only for the students of odisha and anyone out of Odisha appearing the OJEE examination. VSSUT as seen by 2nd years

I applied for outr Bhubaneswar and vssut burla. I was getting electrical branches in both the colleges. But in outr there are not enough hostels for student neither the campus is that much attracting. O the other hand vssut have total 11 hostel and can accommodate every student studying and the campus is also somewhat good. But for csit branches there are not enough facilities in vssut To get admission here you have to get a rank in jee main exam and have to go through ojee counselling. To get to cse branch your all India rank must be within 1lakhs and for electrical branch its about 1.5lakhs and for lower branches production rank does not matter that must there are seats pending vacant you can get them via spot counselling...Read More
