The university has posted great placement record throughout the years and students often get multiple placement options to choose from. To sum it, if you are at VSSUT you better not worry about getting placed.
College Events
VSSUT has it.Starting from robotics club, dramatics club, photography club, literary club to automotive club, dance club, the college has it all. we have tech fest named "samvesh"that happens regularly every year and gives a lot of exposure to the students. the annual sports fest "illumina" is also organised . and ofcourse the most awaited fest by all of the students - the cultural fest "vassaunt".
Campus Life
Labs are pretty old for electrical and mechanical(but they try to keep updated though) but rest of the branches labs are in a good state,If you get into mech.(my branch) it's a bit convenient here as your pre-final year teachers are going to help you a lot and i hope same for every branch.There are active clubs like SAE(Society of Automotive Engineers)which holds the two best teams of Eastern India in the category of BAJA and FORMULA STUDENT where student builds all terrain and Formula 3 cars and actively take part in national and international level competition and races .
Hostel Facilities
I think as per government institute standards the rooms are pretty decent and spacious. The mess food is not the best per se but it’s manageable. The best thing about hostels is the freedom you get. It is pretty easy to get a hostel here, for both girls and boys. you just have to fill the form and it's done. also, 28000 yearly including rooms and food is pretty descent, i suppose.
