I won't say anything bad about my college. It is because of my college that I am who I am today with a little bit of my hard work. I just wanna say wow sjce. U rock in all the fields. I will remain in touch with my college all the time out of all my batchmates I am the only one working in Mysore. I love my college every weekend I keep on visiting my professors thank you Sjce.

I got selection through AIEEE exam through GOI quota from manipur i scored 160 out of 300. Mysore is a peaceful place for education & SJCE is a renowned college in India. It ranks in top 50 colleges in India. Regarding my stream, I am a man & mechanical is a manly thing. I love mechanical engineering from my childhood.

The mechanical course was of 8 semesters from second year, we entered into our core stream. The first year was divided into 2 segments physics cycle and chemistry cycle. From second year onwards we started learning in-depth mechanical engineering. We were given lot of options for electives from 6th semester onwards. Some of the interesting electives were robotics,scm, project management, industrial management, finite elemental analysis, organisational behaviour, etc. Every year students from our department are sent to Italy for various projects.

Frankly speaking I did not do any internships during my engineering. It is really good opportunity to do internships as it will help during the campus placement programs. We had opportunities to do internships in various industries like jk tyres, Triveni gears, steel factories n lot more.

As of mechanical engineering I must say there is 80 percentage placement surity. From our batch 50 students got placed out of 70 students. Out of them I am one who got placed in a core company Triveni engineering n industries Ltd. Mysore. Talking about computer sc n information technology there is 100 per cent placement from our college. Many famous companies like Google, L&T, GM, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, TE Connectivity, Sneider Electricals, Dell, Microsoft, Flipkart, Oracle, Yahoo, SAP, My Sigma, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, IBM, Infosys, TCE, etc. Visit our campus every year for campus interview. Salary is the most interesting part for these companies. For dream companies the average package is 8 lakhs ctc n for core companies the package is 4 to 5 lakhs ctc n for mass companies like Wipro, Accenture, ibm, infosys, tcs etc the package is around 3.5 lakhs ctc.

Our college is famous for its college fest namely jayciana. It is celebrated in the month of April everyyear. It is celebrated for 3 days. Many cocurricular activties take part like dance competition, singing competition etc. Miss jayciana n Mr jayciana are the notable events during the fest. When I was in college shankar mahadevan came in my 3 yr. Same year akcent also came. Last year sunburn came to our college.

For management quota annual fee is 1.2 lakh. For other govt nominees 23 to 30 kilo is the admission fees. Exam fees are included. It is feasible when look into the quality of learning acquired.

Our college offers scholarships for top 5 students from every batch and every dept other than this they give loans to obc and sc st.

Our college campus has a rich infrastructure i was a great footballer in our college team we used to have a big football ground n a hockey ground. We also have a cricket stadium. It was inaugurated by the great Indian cricketer shreenath who happens to be an alumnus. Talking about alumni Anil kumble is also our alumnus. Am from north east India. Our students are from various parts of the country this makes unity in diversity.

Hostel life is the most enjoyable part hostel provides only veg foods hostel rooms accommodate 4 people in each nearby the college many pg are available for both boys n girls. They are affordable the pG rooms are big n good n comfortable for study. Pg fees vary from 2 kilo to 4 kilo per month food is exclusive. Pg deposit is just 10 kilo on an average.

Our college has been producing talented engineers from long back i am working with many colleagues who are our alumni. They talk good about the college n fun theyy had had during those days.

There are 5 internal assessments. All of them are taken into consideration for cie calculation. Then it is reduced to 50. Remaining 50 will be counted from the sem end exam. Every Sem we had to write 2 lab exams n 1 workshop. We follow grade point system.

Faculty members are highly qualified n experienced. Most of them are senior professors. The teaching staff consists of all together 22 lecturers n non teaching staff consists of15 members. At present Mr kv balajai is the head of the dept. He a professor n has specialization in engineering management. He is an alumnus of Sjce Mysore n has got 34 yrs of teaching experience. Some of the notable professors are Mr. Mallesh who is also an alumnus of Sjce has got specialization in design engineering. As of now he had released 16 papers in national n international journals. Mr. Nd jawali is also a remarkable professor who has 30 yrs of teaching experience has got specialization in design engineering. He had published 18 papers in national n international journals till now. Like wise so many lecturers have got specializations in various fields n they are remarkable in their own fields.
