Remarks

Being a government college, some facilities are not as modern as few other private colleges, the laboratories and lab equipment were quite old and not working properly, but the college had the best of atmosphere for students to excel in their career. There was a pro-Telangana movement for the special state at the university during 2010-2012 but it did not have much impact on the academic year and placements. Overall, Osmania university is a very good college and has very good facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The Course curriculum is relevant to the subject. It is not research-driven, there are some subjects which are not updated yet. Some subjects need to be updated with the syllabus. Some subjects still have a very old syllabus which needs to be changed, so that the students are taught new topics and concepts which would be helpful. Some useless elective subjects need to be removed from the curriculum and experimental teaching needs to be encouraged. There are very few industrial visits organized by the college during those days.

Placement Experience

4.5

There were very few internship programs in the college. But the placement structure of the college was good enough. All the students are invited for Placement who match the eligibility criteria of the Company and the Placement tests and processes are conducted in a separate Building of PLACEMENT BUILDING. On average, more than 90% of the students got placed in the placement structure. There were a few opportunities for CORE companies but most companies which visited the campus were of Software-based.

College Events

4

There were so many Annual technical, cultural and Management festivals held in our college. All departments hold their Technical festival separately which invites about 600-700 students per day which run for 02-03 days. The cultural day of the college held one day which will be attended by most of the students of the college. Other management programs are held by college and which are actively participated by most of the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure was feasible and very reasonable. The annual tuition fees were 10000 rupees for an academic year which were clearly split and explained. These payments were to be done through Demand Drafts (DDs). There were no additional charges for library etc. There were charges for Examination for every semester. There were no additional charges for any admission or anything.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have opted for EBC scholarship which was the scholarship given to the Economically backward students by the State government. The amount was Rs.10000 per academic year. The procedure was to apply to the online government website.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life was excellent. The gender ratio was approximately Female to male approximately 0.8. The students were from diverse locations, from different locations of the state and a few international students also study in our college. The labs were having some old equipment, a few labs are getting upgraded and new. So some laboratories still need to be upgraded a bit. The sports facilities were brilliant in college and there were annual sports competitions which most of the students participated. It was a wonderful experience that we ended up Sports Champions in the academic year 2010-2011. There were Annual technical festivals, which had all the Robotics competitions and Paper and Poster presentations which attracted students from across the state.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes. The rooms were big enough and the infrastructure was ok. The average rental per month was about 1200 rupees per month during 2008-2012. The facilities available were a large TV hall room, Newspaper room, Medical room, Sports ground, 2 Large Messes. the hostel rooms were sufficient to almost all those who were eligible (who are more than 50kms away from the college)

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network was not strong during those days 2008-2012. But the alumni network is very strong and very large now. We are connected through an Alumni group and through mails. We get to know the Program and tech fests conducted at the college through the Alumni network.

Admission

The admissions are carried out through EAMCET Counselling which is based on the EAMCET results. The exam was conducted in May 2008 and results were given in July and Admissions started in early September through counselling and College started in September.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college is just average. The quality of a few faculty is very poor and unfit for the faculty in such a prominent and well-known university. The average age varies from 40-45 years. There were about 02-03 Professors in the department, 04-05 Assistant professors and 02-03 Associate professors and about 06-07 Junior professors in our department. Some lecturers were below par and their subject level is below par. But some lecturers were brilliant and very skilled in their teaching. The industry experience does not hold much relevance in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is updated regularly with topics that match current technology trends. We get enough time to complete assignments and improve our understanding. Internal assessments and presentations also help in overall learning. I feel more elective subjects can be added to give students wider career options.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

I think IN-campus Placements are the best thing that this college may offer. This is one of the top college in Telangana so almost every top company gives a chance to this college companies like Cisco, Insfosys, TCS, Cognizent, Accenture and many more. The highest package is 34LPA last year 2024, and the average is 7LPA i think.I think almost 60 to 70 percentage of people get place in the companies.I plan to get place in the top most comnmpany in the Telanagana after getting degree.
