Remarks

Average in infrastructure, poor in placement records and faculty not up to the mark.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Internal exams were conducted by internal staff but there was partiality by few staff as we were North Indians for them and external exams were conducted by VTU, our university board. With help of good books suggested by friends in other colleges and VTU were helpful to achieve good marks in finals. Also, a few good staff helped us.

Placement Experience

1

Very few companies visited during my tenure. But there was no company visited for placement in 2009. No having no experience in the recruitment process.

College Events

3

Technical seminar only happened once in a year. The cultural festival also happened only once in a year and it was happening for 2-3 days. And only local festivals were celebrated every year. We were not able to participate in other colleges seminars and cultural programmes due to less clarity provided by our faculties.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My fee was around 100000/- annually. The mode payment was cheque either cash only. There were online channels. Yes, there were additional fee and charges that had to be paid in a given period of time. There were some hidden charges too. Account team was very in supportive in terms of helping in the documentation.

Fees and Financial Aid

I had a very bad experience in terms of scholarships and education loan. I have visited several times to get respective documents from the accounts team but not given and so I was unable to take education loan and not eligible for scholarships too. Even there was clarity provided at all.

Campus Life

2

The gender ratio was equal, there was so much partiality between South and North Indians, North Indian were treated badly, they were not supported by staffs too. The tolerance with regards to North Indian and South Indian was very high. Lots of politics in students too. There were integrity issues.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Yes, I opted for hostel and was there for the initial 2 years of my engineering. Hostel rooms were available on sharing basis only that also first come first serve basis. At my time there was only 1 building with 3 floors. Rents we have to in advance for a complete year with the security deposit and on a cancellation or shifting there were no refunds. Food was as per south Indian cuisines only, no availability of North Indian food.

Alumni/Alumna

Most seniors got a job with good companies due to there academics. Only a few seniors were helpful. And partiality North India was very high.

Admission

Admission got through Common entrance exam, admission process wad manual at my admission time in 2005. I opt for electronics and communication branch of BE as it was having the good scope of placement during my course period. I opt for this institution as suggested by my few friends brothers who residing in Bangalore. As per them college was new and growing in infrastructure and in intial phase few students were placed in good companies with lucrative perks.

Faculty

3

There was 1 HOD per branch and around 15-18 faculty in each branch. Faculty average age was 30-35, some were well qualified and some not up to the mark. Only 40% of the staff was good and giving good clarity over subjects to the students. 50% of faculty hold relevant industry experiences and certifications.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the NIAT curriculum around four out of five. In my opinion, it is good that the curriculum is not only based on theoretical studies. The inclusion of coding, projects, assignments, and practical knowledge is quite engaging for the students, as they can apply the acquired information in practice. Additionally, I find the curriculum up to date compared to the standard Btech syllabus, which mainly focuses on theoretical background. However the curriculum could have fewer assignments, as some of them are rather time consuming and require additional study to achieve a better understanding of a particular subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally, I was interested in ECE course since I liked working around chips and was intrigued by how they worked, which is what led me to choosing this course. The curriculum is not the best for real-world applications since the syllabus is pretty outdated. The teaching does involve smart boards and can be visual as well, but it can be utilized better by the professors. A semester lasts for around 5 months, with the last month only involving SEE (Semester End Examinations) and the first four months consisting of 2 CIE tests in the 2nd and 4th months. It also involves practical examinations.

Placement Experience:

The on-campus usually starts in 6th Semester. A company called MathCo was the first company it came for the role of analyst. Around 5-7 people got selected. The average package would be usually around 4-4.5 LPA, but highest package was 6.25 from PlanetSpark for role of Sales. The percentage is nearly to 10-12%. After degree, get a job and work for atleast 2 years for learning current trends is my basic thought as of now.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course I adopted since I couldn't do my neet. In 2nd year I thought of taking CSE . I GOT MANY SEATS IN OTHER COLLEGES FOR OTHER COURCES. But I wanted to adopt only CSE based . I mean social or economical or design thinking and scientific foundation.. these courses are of no use while learning engineering so this might be the drawback . Exams are conducted very strictly in our clg and I appreciate that !
