Course Curriculum Overview
2 semesters per year, having 6 core subjects and an additional subject which helps in behavioral development and communication skills. Therefore, one will have to learn 36 core subjects with 6 career based curriculum. Also, yes there are industrial visits generally for the final year students.
Placement Experience
Yes, there is a placement cell to provide students with opportunity to participate in campus interview to acquire jobs and internship programs. Although one has to take up placement course in order to be eligible to attend these interviews.
College Events
Jyoti Nivas college is mostly known for its Fests apart from the education. Every stream and every department has atleast two fests, one being inter-collegiate and the other being intra-collegiate fest. Apart from these, the annual college fest that is Scillintation is one of its kind and the best fest of the year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college has a reasonable fee structure compared to the other top colleges. But one might have to pay for extra courses. Sometimes, fee might be collected for other purposes, for instance, students of commerce stream have to fund the commerce union.

No, I haven't opted for any scholarship or education loan. But students who fall under the criteria can opt for it.
Campus Life
It's an all girls college with both male and female staff. There are various extra curricular activities such as sports, dance, music, visual communication, Fine arts, media works, photography etc available in the college. There are credit based short term courses available to which one can subscribe to, if interested.

Yes, Jyoti Nivas college have pretty good number of alumini. For starters, Trishika Kumari, Queen of mysore.
Admission
I'm a distinction holder in my PUC, therefore I got in due to my merit. Not a hectic procedure though. 1) Fill in the application form. 2) Submit necessary documents such as 10th and 12th marks card, conduct certificate etc. 3) Attend the interview with the college counselor. 4) If found eligible, then you get a on spot admission.
Faculty
Jyoti Nivas is known for its Arts and commerce streams. Department of commerce and management has the highest number of lecturers i. e. about 45 lecturers and most of these lecturers do have a Doctorate and few of them are pursuing PhD. A lecturer from biology department recently acquired a patent on one of her new discoveries.
