Remarks

RGIT is good college if you don't care about your placements and lectures. Your personality will definitely grow if take part in extra curricular activities because there are many.

Course Curriculum Overview

1

Course curriculum is fair enough my personal view is that college should hire better professors who has better knowledge I was not at all satisfied with college teaching faculties. As far as curriculum is concerned that's not in the hand of college it's decided by Mumbai university I think it should have been more of practical based. In RGIT my communication skills improved because the students used to communicate in English my soft skills improved because of this.

Placement Experience

1

Placement is below average for non IT students. College never took any steps on its own to provide internship, students had to use their own contacts if they want to do internship in their vacations. Hardly instrumentation core companies visited the campus for placement one or two only LnT which took only one student from our batch Sikraft which offered 8k per month initially with 4.5 years bond 2 to 3 students went there. Rest IT companies like Infosys, TCS visited for IT again 1 or 2 were selected in this company from our instrumentation class batch. Tentative percentage placed students is 8 to 10 percent every year. Institution never took special steps to prepare students for placements.

College Events

4.5

RGIT is popular for events that it does across Mumbai in engineering college. We are best at it. Every year we organise 3 to 4 national level technical event. We also organised big fat cultural event where every year celebrities come. I remember sun burn was organised by us in our cultural fest, DJ VJ Nikhil Chinnapa had also visited our college to play DJ, Many other popular actors actress visit our college every year. Participation is also huge participants come from out of Mumbai also.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is on higher end as compared to other colleges. At our time other colleges fees was 50000 to 60000 my college charged 80000 Every year we used to go to industrial visit also that was not included in this fees we had to pay it different on an average it was 5000 to 10000 rupees Yes college provided transparency about the fees breakdown and provided us receipt also.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes college did provide scholarship for students one who belonged to EBC class. i.e Economic backward class. Students who cannot afford to pay college annual fees college gave them this facility. Students had to take this special form from college and provide evidence that their family annual income is less then 90000 if they do so college provided them special concession in fees.

Campus Life

5

Campus life of RGIT is superb, Infrastructure is awesome, If you are a student for whom lecture and placement doesn't matters then this is the best college for you. Most of the students who come here to study are rich and come in their own cars and vehicles. It's the best place if you love to participate in extra curricular activities. Gender ratio is one is to one except mechanical. You will find beautiful girls in this college which is one of the motivation for boys to come to college daily. RGIT is one of the coolest engineering college if you want to enjoy your engineering college days then this is the college for you. Terms and conditions applied professors are not up to the mark and placement are also not satisfactory. Mostly rich students who have decided to do their masters come here to study.

Alumni/Alumna

One of my college senior because he only guided me to take instrumentation course and take admission in RGIT. He helped me to get my first two jobs also from his contacts because I was not placed in the college campus.

Admission

Instrumentation is one of the emerging course in engineering field, I did my diploma also in instrumentation only that's what I opted for it. Admission process in 2013 at my time was online through cap round where in we have to fill in the preferences of college name. My first preference college was RGIT only. I got admission based on merit.

Faculty

1

Faculty of the college I would rate below average their knowledge and teaching style was below average for few it was worst. We had few professors who's communication skills were worst. Our lecture timing was from morning 9 to evening 5 Monday to Saturday. One lecture of one hour. All the teachers had bachelors and master's degree but they didn't have any industry experience. Average age of professors was 45. Only 2 teachers were of the age 30 to 35 rest were above 45. I don't think they had done any industry certification because it never reflected in their teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

This course currently is in high demand and this is the course which offers the highest percentage of placements. Computer Engineering is the fundamental course one could pursue if they want to get into technology. We currently have 2 Internal Exams in each semester which prepares us well for the semester.

Placement Experience:

Companies started sending their placements form to college groups from starting of the 7th semester. For particular branches, particular companies visited. Many companies send their placement forms this year. But each selected a max of 2-3 candidates only. In the strength of 76, 15 got placed on campus this year. Selection rates or placements criteria were too low.

Focusing on student's attendence rather than focusing on students concepts. College is not focusing in development of students only paperwork is done. No conceptul teaching nor practical. By doing this stuff we can get a btech degree but not the knowledge a btech student should have.
