Cptc is a government college, so we dont have to face any management issues

Course Curriculum Overview

Here three year diploma in engineering course is only available. Each year having two semesters, like that tottaly six semesters. Students have to submit a mini project and main project in final year and also have to submit a seminar regarding a new invention in the field

The companies normally came to CPTC for placement is Tata consultancy, Tata elx. Nest, Hcl, Oracle.

College Events

Technical and cultural fest will be conducted annually. Technical fest will conducted in collaboration with all other departments including mechanical, electrical, civil and computer engineering departments. Cultural fest is conductong by college union.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is really feasible. As I told already, its a government college and fees will be maximum 30000 for three years, also economically backward students dont need to pay any fees. And they will get scholarships too. So dont bother about fees

The government offer scholarships for ecconomically backward students. The scholarship is strictly based on income

Campus Life

Cptc providing a good campus life. Apart from other private colleges, mainly common peoples are studying here, but it was really a good experience. Extra curricular activities like sports, arts, National cadets corps, National service scheme etc available here

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is available in CPTC. Hostel is completely run by government and college principle is the warden, 3 bed sharing rooms with common toilet is providing. Hostel fare is very economical.

Cptc have an active alumini association. Which helps in campus placements and college infrastructure developments

Admission

I got admission strictly on merit basis, sc/st and obc students will get their desreved relaxation in marks, why I choose this college is, This is first polytechnic college in kerala, The campus itself having its own legacy and exposures. I choose electronics and communication engineering. Other than electronics and communication, another 5 course is available

Faculty

Each semester having four theory and four practical exams. So four main lecturers and four lab assistants will take the class. Average age of faculties including head of section is forty years. Comming to the hierarchy. Head of section associate professors and assistant professors are there.

An honest look at campus

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro,cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed.The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

SLIET longowal has well structured curriculum as per new education policy with well structured labs. to prepare for real world, college provide funds for startup and also motivate students to gain industry exposure. Many improvements can be done in curriculum like integration of cutting edge technologies, smart board, digital labs. There are three exams per semester two minors which take place in month of august and september and major or end sem exam in month of october, the timing of exam was from 1 pm to 4 pm. the difficulty level of exam is moderate

Placements in lovely professional university is decent and dont know much about it as i am in 1st year only but there were mandatory Placement classes for all which you need to select in 1st year only for which you need to pay extra 20k for the classes.

Remarks:

Good staff are very nice and supportive nature. There are not any faculty problem. Functions are organized in a very large scale which is very good. Ragging are strictly banned in college which is very good for fresher students. BAD: lack of equipment and machines in labs. Lack of practical knowledge for students.
