My College

It's a very good college for practical experience Cleanliness and management is very good Special modifications are there for the disabled persons A very good environment for learning The hostel food is somewhat not so good There is a CET- common entrance test for this college all over India and the selected rank holders are called for counseling and then are given chance to select their course according to there ranks Reason for preferring this college is that it is in Chennai, a big city with more job opportunities and the location very good and clean and is a central government institution There is our college website which anyone can visit for any information about our college We also have Facebook and Twitter page in name of NIEPMD Chennai where all the recent updates and information is provided.

I choose this course because I was preparing for medical but unable to qualify for this entrance exam but I get to know about the bachelor of physiotherapy course almost similar to the medical course and we get to help a patient more closely than a doctor which inspired me to take this course. As it is recently established so the student's number is very less, each class consisting of around 20-30 students which is very good as the faculty can concentrate on each and every student and there is sufficient faculty for each subject and also staffs dedicated for the clinical exposure and the also take us to other medical colleges to show us the conditions which are not available in our college Our faculties are also highly qualified and with teaching experience of at least five years And for some subjects, proper medical college professors are a call for better teaching and experience Our internal exams are held in every 3months 3 times a year and once a year external final exam

As our college is newly established no companies visit our college But the students passing from here get placements in all large and professional companies After completing the course we have to complete an internship period after which we are eligible for any campus placement

When I join an annual fee is 35,500 was collected which includes the tuition fees is 14000 , a caution fees of 1,500 and other fees like library fees, computer lab fees practical fees and all If anyone opts for the hostel then they have to pay an extra 48000 annuals for food and hostel fees The scholarship is provided by the Tamilnadu government and some sponsorship from private organizations for the economically backward students And also there is scholarships for SC/ST students by the Tamil Nadu government and by other state governments if the student is from any other state

Life is very exciting in college, the infrastructure is very good for common people as well as the disabled person There are different cultural programs held throughout the year and also we get to attend different conferences all over India for better experiences There is a big library where all the needed books and journals are available and we can print and Xerox any journals or notes if needed There is a computer lab with wifi connections for the students to work when required There is a big playground for football, a volleyball court, a badminton court, running track and a basketball court is being under construction, every year an annual sports meet is conducted for the students and we get to participate in sports events conducted in other colleges and universities We also have cultural and sports community for organizations of all the extracurricular activities
