The admission to ICFAI business school (IBS) hyderaad can be through CAT scores or by taking their entrance test. Their entrance test is for admission to all ICFAI centres. The one in Hyderabad is the main centre and is the best one to.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is strong. They have all major electives: Marketing, Finance, HR and they allow a mix of major and minor electives too. So for example i had a marketing major and banking minor as my elective.
Internships Opportunities
The college helps even with the internship opportunities. Stipend is not necessarily a part of all internships but in 2007, the average was around 5,000-10,000 per month. Some of the students had internships in sales field and they were even entitled to sales commissions.
Placement Experience
The college has a special placement team with placement officers. These are professionals and not students and they try and get a lot of companies to the campus. So immense job opportunities. A lot of hybd/south based companies like Dr reddys also visit the campus almost every year.
College Events
College has its own annual fest event, a freshers event and also holds an event for its alumni on a yearly basis. Other than that, guest speakers too visit the campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
ICFAI itself provided merit-based scholarships to students. Other than that, banks like Andhra bank and state bank of hyderabad readily provide loans. Infact, andhra bank provides loans at at lesser rate for girl students.
Campus Life
The college is really good on all these fronts plus it has this big campus which is equipped to take care of all these activities labs, sports, extracurricular.
Alumni/Alumna
More can be done on the alumni front, especially on involving them at the time of placements. The college involves alumni in selection of new students.
