Remarks

I chose SSN because of the following reasons: STATE OF THE ART INFRASTRUCTURE TOP-CLASS FACULTY with lots of experience in every area AMAZING campus with a lot of scope for academics, sports, and cultural activities as well 4. NO RULES regarding the dress code 5. AMAZING PLACEMENTS when you come into the final year 6. SUPPORTING EVERY STUDENT in both academics as well as other areas too. You will have the best four years of college than you can ever imagine in your life and it is highly impossible to bid goodbye to SSN when you complete your course. When it comes to bad aspects, I don't see anything that is very bad. Only the MESS FOOD will be average but you can opt-out of it anytime and go for the canteen food which is better.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose B.Tech. Information Technology because I had so much interest in the various technology that is present in the modern world and it urged me to learn about it in a more detailed way. When it comes to the faculty-student ratio, I'd say there is at least one faculty for every 5 to 10 students. Almost every faculty here are qualified professors and the others have submitted their theses awaiting confirmation from the higher officials to turn them into professors officially. But there is strictly no hierarchy because every student can freely interact with their professors, both in terms of academics as well as personal matters. Simply put, the students and professors here, including our Head of Department(HoD) are more or less like friends. When it comes to the part of the exams, I would say the courses are not too easy are too hard, but they are easy to be understood, and the exams are set to be challenging for the students so that they can learn in all aspects of the subject.

Internships Opportunities

5

The students are offered internship opportunities right from the end of the first year. Though they don't offer on-campus, the students are encouraged to go off-campus for internships, and the college grants them permission to continue the internship as soon as you inform the faculty and the HoD.

Placement Experience

4

The students are eligible to attend campus placements from the final year. The college placement cell has played a vital role in bringing in the top tier companies starting from Goldman Sachs, PayPal, Amazon, Google, CitiBank, etc. and startups such as Zoho, PickYourTrail, HippoVideo, Mad Street Den, AjiraSoft, etc. and the Indian companies such as TCS, CTS, Infosys, HCL, etc. All these companies have made more than 1000+ offers for the students, with different salary packages. The highest salary package is 55 LPA offered by Google and the average salary package starts from 5.5-7 LPA The percentage of placements on an average is 97.38, with the highest percentage being 99.2% during the academic year 2019-2020.

Fees and Financial Aid

The first-year fee was about Rs.1,92,500 and then there was a decrease in the second year fee when it was Rs. 1,73,450, but then the third year fee was a bit high considering the placement training about Rs. 1,97,325. And the fee came down at the final year to Rs. 1, 64,250. Unfortunately, I couldn't get any scholarship. But there is a scholarship scheme where the top scorer of every department will be given a considerable percentage (say 75%) fee waiver as a reward. And this is applicable for every year.

Campus Life

5

So, the college has both an annual tech fest and a cultural fest. The tech fest is called "INVENTE" which happens during the month of September (i.e.) the odd semester. The cultural fest is called "INSTINCTS" which happens during the month of March (i.e.) the even semester. There are actually two libraries in the college, one is the Department Library which is present in every department and the common library. Both these libraries have a huge collection of books for each subject you have according to the semester. The classroom has both Blackboard Teaching as well as PPT Teaching. The ratio of using these amenities differs from subject to subject. The college shows huge support for sports as well as extracurricular activities. The students have won a lot of accolades for the college, both in sports and extracurricular activities. Also, there are a lot of student clubs here covering every interest of the student, be it art, design, coding, etc.

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming.
