Ankit Varshney's Review On Delhi Technological University - [DTU], New Delhi

It is a state university and the college management is slow there hasn't been a stable vice chancellor for last two years the rules and regulations are quite nice and online procedures for different process are being developed.

I got 161 in JEE MAINS entrance test. I got a rank of 30807. This college is one of the best engineering colleges in India. Dtu offers best academic faculty and innovation opportunities in the field of mechanical and automotive engineering. I chose btech in mechanical engineering because of my interests in the field.

The course structure is very comprehensive and prepares the student to be best in the field. The mechanical engineering faculty is comprises of one of the bests in the field. Teachers are innovative, friendly and help students achieve their goals. There is a lot of focus on research and development in the college.

The companies have just started to come for internships as I'm in third year. I will be sitting for internships this year. Last year, many big corporations visited the campus with stipends as high as 5000 inr.

Nearly all the seniors got placed. Dtu claims 100% placements and the claim seems legit. Some students from software engineering got placed over 1 crore. The average package is upwards of 6 lacs. Some companies that visited were amazon, Google, maruti, hspc, citibank, rbs and many more.

There are infinite no of societies at Dtu they all have many events over the year. Dtu's cultural fest Engifest is very popular and over 1 lac students visit campus technical fests are innumerable in the month of february.

Gender ratio is quite low dtu is culturally very rich there are numerous teams/societies are available on the basis of student's interest. Dtu is full of modest and polite people. I did not experience any intolerance students treat each other with respect.

Hostel are cheap and amazing but the accommodation is slightly low hostels are only for outside Delhi candidates. Hostels fees is 18000 annually and the mess food is great if student doesn't get the hostel, there are many pg's available nearby. They cost between 2000-5000 rs per month on the basis of facilities provided.

It is great dtu seniors are very helpful and really take a step on building bonds with juniors.
