Course Curriculum Overview

Nutrition and dietetics is very new in compared to bio and physics. We need to know and learn the basic first... this college has kept good care of the basic knowledge of the subject. In our first semester we studied about carbohydrates fats vitamins minerals exectra ....semester by semester syllabus gets difficult. Exams take place after 6 months which is a completion of one semester

Placement Experience

4.5

90% of students gives the interview during the placement time in which 60% of them get selected for their desire jobs. Companies like Infosys come here during every placement month....packages are dependent on the quality of job and company.....internships are nowhere to found in the college

Fee Structure And Facilities

They ask basic fee for their every course...as this college provides n number of courses....fees are different for different courses.... for nutrition and dietetics i pay rupees 1778 every year. Students who accomodate hostels gets to pay little higher amount than this

Campus Life

We have different extra curricular activities in our college in which Pongal celebration is the high rated one. We desperately wait for Pongal because during this we have many competitions like Rangoli competition, mehndi competition etc

Hostel Facilities

Hostels have been provided according to our requirements. One thing that I don't like about the hostel is that there are many strict rules and regulations. Students are not even allowed to have phones with them... everyday we get one or two hours allotted for using our phone. Mess food is neither good nor bad....

Admission

College took their own entrance exam for the selection of students ...there were total hundred questions all were multiple choice questions,with no negative marking......I applied for this college just after giving my 12th exam and got selected for it

This college is well known for having the best quality teacher for students....98% of them are PhD holders in their specialised field....in my department there are six teachers and different topic have been allotted to them separately....when our syllabus gets completed they take many small question answer round in the class only

Experienced faculties, their constant encouragement to students to participate in seminars, lectures, internships, intercollegiate programs and other research based conferences and activities.
The college had good infrastructure, modern laboratories, smart classrooms, sports facilities and a slate clean campus.
The placement cell, incubation cell, and intellectual property cell of our college are easily approachable and they help in developing our ideas, patenting and registering them.

The curriculum covers important subjects such as cell biology, microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, bio processing, principles of chemical engineering, and wr have hands on practice through pur well-equipped laboratory sessions.

In my college , I experienced diversed equality and gained more knowledge by training staffs and assessments

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

all staffs are we experienced in their field and good in explaining, very friendly
hostel is well maintained and college is always clean
everything works in college based upon the review system. so any issues will resolve quickly

Placement Experience:

HIMT has good placements rates to all the batches, espically for GME they are doing well good. many gets placements in first semester itself. many big gaint companies in marine industry are approching to HIMT for placements.

My bad campus life

Likes

The environment is very good.its very natural atmosphere.
Teaching and facilitys are nice.we can learn very much.
The all facility is near by near .its a good thing.

Dislikes

The management is very bad.they not consider our students.
The fees structure is very different for all students.its too bad.and they decided the fees category is very cheep.
The hostel facility is not good.and also food its very bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually i like computer jobs. So i selected the course. Its very different one. Mainly programming. But its very interesting and valuable.cse computer science is a very high value course and i have lot of opportunities after completing the course. I.think in this types of course in curriculum they want to include practical sections more than text books.

Admission:

I got admission in this college via counselling. I had PCB in 10+2 and gave NEET which a national entrance test exam to get admission into medical courses. The scores obtained in entrance exam matters a lot in deciding the merit.

I can only applies vellalar college for women only no application to another colleges. I can hear about the college nice and good teaching. Reason: I am from the middle class family and have one younger sister pursiving 11th in the private school. So, In my college fees structure are low and affordable fees.
