Remarks

Institute is good . But only minus point is that there is problem in management system. They do not use the modern way of marking attendance and updating it to the students online . Only this is a negative point of this institute.

Entrance Preview

I gave CLAT. My CLAT score was 104. I chose nirma as it was the best option after NLU's . As my score was comparatively low to get admission in top national law universities, so I had to select from other private law schools. Nirma institute of law was the best option available to me.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

In Nirma , course curicullum is really rigorous. Initially, in first 2 years we had 5 main subjects and 4 enrichment courses . And even internship had course credit .

Internships Opportunities

After every semester internship is compulsory. Viva is being held after completion of internship period. College gives plenty of opportunity of internship period. Internship is backbone of a law student . So it's a plus point.

Placement Experience

3

Placements is a issue. Nirma doesn't get much placements as compared to nlu's. Top law firms prefer to go to top nlu's only.

College Events

3.5

Many cultural and sport events are organised by college. Every year 'Vibes' is organised that is a cultural fest. College organises many inter- institute competitions. " Manthan' is also organised. Many celebrities also become part of fest to entertain the students . Celebrities like vishal Shekhar , Shaan, Mika , MJ5 became the part of college fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The quality of education provided by the institute is really good and the institute provides a very good infrastructure to its students. The fees is not that much as compared to other private law schools.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes merit students can avail for scholarship. Institute provides 80% , 50% etc off on the college fees to the students .

Campus Life

4.5

Campus of institute is really very good and good. Most of the time of a law student will be passed in the college campus itself as you will have a lot of submissions . Fests and college competitions are organised. Inter classes , inter institute , inter semester sports event are organised at the beginning of every year.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Institute of law does not have its own hostel. Nirma only provides hostel facilities to its post graduate students. But Nirma has started its hostel in Gandhi Nagar for the students . Students can live according to their wish in pg or flats or hostels in the city. There are many options available.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni are often called by the institute to guide the present students and even few alumni are given few subjects or topics to teach to the students. As the alumni know where the problem lies , they can better explain and understand the students. Their teaching is modern according to the present students , like using ppt's etc.

Exam Structure

Exams are organised at the end of every semester. In between the semester , mid- semester are held. In between internals are organised . Exams are held continuous , no holiday or preparation leave is given in between 2 exams.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is good . Like you cannot expect a very experienced faculty here but yes most of them are new comers. Few faculties are Gujarati also . Even institute calls for practising lawyers for giving lectures to the students.

Placement Experience:

After 4th year, students are eligible to sit for placements. Some students also receive a pre-placement offer in the 4th year itself. The students are first prepared for day zero, i.e., placement day, beforehand by conducting a mock interview, which is a voluntary session conducted by the placement committee. CV Vetting workshops are also conducted in the eighth semester because at the end of the 8th semester, the placements are made where tier-1 companies like Khaitan, AZB Partners, CAM, SAM, Trilegal, etc. In-house firms like Adani, ICICI Bank, Tata, and more come for recruiting students. Some students sit for placement; others who want to prepare for government exams like judiciary, UPSC, Public Prosecutor, etc. refrain from sitting in placements.

Admission:

The candidates scoring a minimum of 50% in their +2 exam from any recognized university are applicable for filling the form. The admission is done purely on basis of merit as per the percentage in the 12th exams. I scored 86% and got my name in the top 5 of the merit list.
