Remarks

SRM, Chennai is one of the best private colleges where a student learns the best technical knowledge. There are 30 streams in B.tech in which Mechanical is one of the gem departments. A student has to appear SRMJEE in order to have admission. Reason for a student to choose this college is for this guaranteed campus drive where companies start visiting the college from end of 6th semester itself

Mechanical is one of the evergreen departments in B.tech courses. The ratio of student to faculty is 50:1 respectively. 20% of the faculty in the college is PhD holders. And 40% of the faculty is Senior professors. There are innovative and smart teaching skills from the faculty with projectors facility too.

Placement Experience

Soon after the completion of sixth semester,many companies start visiting the college for campus drive which include MNCs too. Companies which visit the college include TCS,Ashok Leyland, HCL, BSNL, Covium etc. 96% of the students get placed during the campus drive. The highest package of the drive is ?41.6 Lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees structure of the B.tech course is 260000. The fees structure varies from course to course like for MBA grads the fees structure stands at ? 360000 per student. B.tech fees is affordable enough for a student to have hos studies in this type of reputed colleges.

Campus Life

There are 2 grand events being held with glad and show. One is Milan which is celebrated in the month of March and the other called Aarush is being celebrated in the month of September. Many technical events , food courts, fun games are organised during this event. Intra college students round the country are invited to take part in these events where the college provides accommodating and food facility to the students for their convenience.

At 8th semester the students can become eligible for campus placement and the companies visited more oftens are win etc the highest packages about 25 LP and average packers about 2.5 lpa percentage of students getting placement is above 80 percentage.
