Course Curriculum Overview

The course is for 4 years and suitable for those who want to become a marine engineer. The career is not common but enriched with vast knowledge. They learn how to research the ocean and contribute towards marine life and shipping industry.

Placement Experience

3

The college has a placement cell and provides us with internship as well. The only drawback is placement opportunity is given to only those students who have cleared the exams. The others have to go on themselves and find a job.

Fee Structure And Facilities

This is a pre-sea course and fees for 4 years is a total of Rs.10,00,000/-. Considering everything, the fees is expensive and not a lot of people can afford it easily. The college has no scholarship facility so those looking for an admission here have to take up a student loan on their own.

Campus Life

The college should be one-big party and that is exactly what you would find here. This campus is full of life and fun. They not only celebrate all the important days but organize a lot of interesting festivals and fests as well.

Admission

The admission is dependant on college but applicants should have passed their 12th exams with at least 50%. The admission process is simpler for those applicants who have cleared the IMU online CET exam.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty couldn't be better. Each year my teachers change but one thing remains common in them and that is friendliness. They don't consider us students but fellow marine people with whom they can share their experiences.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Placement are not the best. But EY , federal bank, TCS are some the prominent companies that are coming. The negative thing about placement is most of them are offering marking jobs. So if you are someone who is interested in operations this is not the collage you want to in.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
