Remarks

I have a good experience in this college by far. I am enjoying every moment spent in this college. It has expanded my areas of thinking and has changed me in the positive way. It has a diverse culture and it follows all the rules laid down by the government.

Course Curriculum Overview

This is a full time engineering course for four years. It has eight semesters in total which has core as well as elective subjects such as project design, life skills development etc. It conducts a series of examination during the semester and the final exams at the end of every semester.

Placement Experience

2.5

The placement opportunities are ordinary in our college. The big companies like Bosch, TCS, etc. comes for the recruitment. If a student does not secure a place in any company then they can try off campus placement as the value of degree is really high.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite affordable. We have to pay around 60,000 INR. They charge separately for the accommodation in the hostel. I found it inexpensive and can be easily paid without burning your pocket.

Campus Life

The college organizes cultural fest to engage the students. It also has sports clubs to keep the students fit. It has IT lab with computer facilities. It also celebrates important days like Independence day, World health day etc.

Alumni/Alumna

We have a strong influence of the alumni over us. We have a separate club named CRETAA to connect us with the alumni. The seniors are also very helpful and friendly. They stay in contact with alumni to conduct guest lectures for us.

Admission

The admission is based on the entrance exam . The government conducts KEAM for the engineering admission. Once we qualify the exam, the college asks us to complete the admission procedure by submitting all the documents.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty gets a job in the college only after qualifying the PSC exam. This shows we have best of the best faculty in our college. They are the government employees who works very punctually. They are highly talented and delivers some of the most knowledgeable lectures.

Experiences so far

Likes

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . Since I am still in my first year I have only experienced the initial part of course

Likes

The campus is well maintained and is clean
Teachers are willing to give individual attention if needed
Above average food is provided in canteen

Dislikes

Lack of campus life as college is strict
Majority of the staff members are the type to hold a grudge against you
Spoon feeding students and not allowing them to think and improvise accordingly

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from semester 6 onwards. But campus placement for civil engineering is fairly low. But companies like Aarbee Structures Pvt Ltd has offered jobs for my mates

Is engineering here worth it?

Likes

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year, project phases.
Fests, events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan, infosys, commandtech, bimlabs, gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA
