Well managed college fulfilling students requirements

Very good lab facilities with all good and experienced faculties. Our computer labs had all working computers with all the required software? installed. Our sports facility was good and we got time to enjoy with our friends playing games during our free hours. The environment provided by our college was really good for students to study as well as develop their skills.

The course is very relevant to the subject and it gives importance to both theory and practical classes with project works to improve the coding skills of the students. The curriculum is very detailed with the focus given on programming which is very important for computer science students. It aims at the subjects such as design of software and hardware which prepares us for the future. Because of the course curriculum all our batch students could do well in the practical exams.

Placement is provided by our university. Many companies visit every year. The university was established in 2009 and I was from the first batch, but still most of the students got placed in multinational IT companies such as Accenture, Lucas Technology and many other reputed firms. The salary package offered is also very good. During our time there was no internship provided but now the students are sent for internship in the pre final year.

The fee structure is not very expensive. All courses have different fee pattern for Btech course the fee I paid was approx. 1 lakh. Scholarship is provided for SC ST Students who are from a poor family background. University also provides loan. Btech course in such a fee structure is hard to get so it encourages students of rural area of Jharkhand to pursue Engineering courses.

The management organizes many extracurricular activities and celebrate many events for the entertainment of the students. We have free hours when we can go to the playground and play the sports we wish to. I used to play cricket with my friend. Indoor games facility was also provided by our college. We have a good library with all required books. Now Wi-Fi facility has been provided at every corner of the university. When I studied, we didn? have Wi-Fi facility but our labs were excellent and we were allowed to browse internet during our practical classes.

I am also now a part of the Alumni. Alumni network is quite well manged by the management. Some of the alumni work a lot for the students by conducting seminars. At our time we didn? have any seniors as we were the first batch. But once the post graduate students passed out they helped us to get internship in the companies they got placed which was a great help as all the companies who came for interview asked for internship. Without help or advice its difficult to choose the internship topic and company.

NPU offers many UG, UG and Vocational process, the eligibility criteria and entrance exam vary for different streams. For Btech courses, the eligibility criteria are that the applicant should have passed the class 12th with a minimum of 50% marks in PCM. The selection is also based on the score they achieved in the JEE main exam or if the student is a lateral entry, then he/she should have passed JCECE exam. 20 percent of the seats are available for lateral entry students who have done diploma in relevant field. The applicant can either download the application form or get it from the university. The filled application form with the demand draft has to be sent to the admission office before the expiry of the date. The candidates selected on the basis of the qualifying exams are called for the counselling.

In regard to my course that is Btech in Computer Science, all the teachers are Ph.D. qualified. The best part is that most of the teachers handling subject for us have experience in teaching as well as in the corporate field. Their experience in corporate field helps them to impart good programming knowledge. Their practical skills are really good and they conduct a class exam at the end of every moth which helps in learning the lesson before hand and can clear doubts that we have.
