Course Curriculum Overview

The course was full of theory as in the first there were quite easy subjects with short syllabus after which the core subjects started from the second semester. The same was for the next degree. The college took exams in college as well as the university level to which it was affiliated every semester.

Placement Experience

My senior batch students got placement chances through the placement interviews at the college but the pay was quite low in salary as they were all freshers. Also, the institutes hired students on a probation period and will notify them further for the procedure.

College Events

We have a sessions court where the proceeding is taken as the real court for students' practical experience. Also, there are inaugral programs almost once a year where culture is celebrated according to the students as they perform at the stage in solo or group.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course period was of three years and every year I paid 66,300 as my tuition fees which embrace the extra amount the college took from every student. Also, it was very feasible to pay according to the installment structure designed by the college.

Campus Life

Students had leisure time every day when there were no exams so they spend by doing extracurricular activities like playing games, organizing quiz and a session court. There was a quite moderate size library where students prefer to read novels.

Admission

This college provided integrated courses so I managed to get admission on the third merit round and there was an option available of management quota. Also, the admission was merit and entrance exam based so after clearing it I applied on the online portal and I got the letter of acceptance after the third round.

Faculty

In the first year, several white-collar faculties came to take lectures as the college decided to give students detailed knowledge about the as well as the college and course curriculum. They took some long lectures in the starting after which the faculty came according to the time table given to us. They were quite knowledgeable and had some experience.

Fixed timetable Classes, regular assessment and class test
The professors are very qualified and their teaching style is excellent.
A lot of books are available in the main library as well as in the department library

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus and curriculum of Calcutta University is aligned with other entrance examination (eg.IIT JAM, JEST, TIFR, GATE etc.) Specially for the Physics BSc course. And the syllabus is updated Artificial intelligence bacis, Python Advance level is in syllabus, it's completed in college. Point to be Noted - The time given to prepare for the exam is sometimes ample but sometimes it is very less. So we have to prepare syllabus in time which is little bit frustrating.

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. The remaining drives mostly service based companies like TCS, EY etc and quite a few startups has visited to main campus. The package they offered mostly in between 3.5lpa - 6 lpa. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Likes

The discipline is followed very strictly.Also you have access to library which is good,teachers are helpful and no ragging policy which is strictly followed and has a decent environment.
Thery conduct seminars which encourages students.Many faculty members are knowledgeable experienced in their respective subjects and helpful willing to solve doubts beyond the classroom also.
The college has decent infrastucture including classrooms,labs and library .

Dislikes

While the curriculum is decent ,it lacks sufficeint practical implementation.More hands on projects,real world application and industry exposure would improve learning significantly.
Campus life can sometimes fell limited in terms of active student interaction.Opportunites for clubs,networking and collaborative activities could be improved.
The college comes under St tHomas School so the campus is not great it is compact and has a canteen.

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

The campus is big and full of greenery with the vibrant feel of nature.
The students of the same batch are friendly and helpful.
The teacher's are friendly and helpful. They do provide helpful recommendations for the betterment of your future.

Dislikes

The seniors are overly harsh when it comes to 1st year.
The infrastructure could be worked on. The college lacks renovation.
The hostel does require everyday cleaning and renovation as well as the campus.

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about this but I guess from the sixth semester the students are eligible for campus placements. This year a student from AEIE got a package of 11.2 lacs per annum and the average is around 4 lacs per annum.

The Framework is said to be great, with well equipped classroom and simply get to the libraries.
The offices at this college are great. In any case, these changes depending on the quality of the companies going by the college and the victory of the internship changes by the internship.
Understudies appreciate the campus life and flexibility to associate with others understudies. However, there are few impediments such as the division of floors between senior and junior. College life is nice and could be an inviting place for others

Dislikes

The college doesn't have lodging, and understudies must organize their settlement locally.
The college doesn't have a big field to play like any other big college

Placement Experience:

In Syamaprasad College placements and internships are given to the final year students. And the companies that offer placements are Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, etc. The highest package goes up to 20-24 lakhs and the average package goes to 6-8 lakhs. 70-80% of students get their placement in my college. At that time I planned to get the degree and apply to a multinational company with a high salary package with company facilities.

Good Infrastructure.One of the best campus.
Living ideal life.Living like Maharaj ji (monks of Ramkrishna mission)
Lab are the one of the best lab.All machines are in working condition .

Dislikes

Canteen food.The canteen food is not good for those who travel far from home.
In raining days roads are flooded.Other time every thing is at its place.
You cannot bunk classes.If you caught by Maharaj ji you will be punished.

Placement Experience:

5th semester students are eligible for the campus interview. The companies are coming in our college is L&T,TATA STEEL,JINDAL GROUP etc. 90% students get placement in our college. Average package is 1.5 LPA and Highest package is 2.5 LPA in our batch. I want to do higher studies.
