Entrance Preview
I gave All India Pune university MCA entrance test. Admission was based on marks obtained in Multiple choice questions paper. The MCA course looked very close to IT industry needs.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies came to campus offering internship. Some of them were Trilogy, Symantec, Netxen, GS labs, Sybase, IBM.General stipend was anything from 5k to 15k per month.
Placement Experience
Placement and job oppurtunities were really good during 2007 and in general at our campus. Lot of companies came to campus for hiring like:Adobe, Microsoft, Trilogy, Symantec, Sybase, GS labs, IBM, Netxen etc.Packages offered varied from 3 to 15 lac pa.
College Events
We used to have lot of cultural events in our campus. there was an organisation - computer science students association. It used to organize treks ( one of the famous trek was Rajmachi trek), programming events, various kind of game events and farewell/freshers party.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure was feasible. There were six semesters and fees used to vary each semester. Every semester there was a little increase in fee. It used to come around 20-25k per semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I haven't availed any loan or scholarship.I am not aware if any such facility exists in pune university campus.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network at pucsd is very strong. The outside faculty members coming from industry, mostly were our alumnus. Alumni network used to help the campus students during placement. By helping I only mean the facilitation of companies coming to campus used to be easier. Interview process was followed strictly.
Exam Structure
There was a busy schedule till afternoon but after 3-4 we were mostly free to manage the day at our own. Labs used to be open till late in the night and we used to get assignments to try out things in labs. Exams were not that frequent, exam for each subject per semester used to be there.
