Remarks

This college has given me the confidence which i didn't knew i had. You will get a lot of exposure and experience which will help you in enhance your personality. The college is the right choice to pursue your undergraduation.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum has all the required subjects. The course is well researched and the exam structure is made in such a way that the students are able to manage and not feel pressurized and burdened unnecessarily.

Placement Experience

Just like every other college our college also has a career and placement cell. They not only hep you with placements but also counsel students who are confuse about what to do after graduation.Various career guidance classes are also conducted for the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees was under my budget so it was feasible. The fees that they ask for is justified in all manner. They provide you with quality education and premium facilities. The tuition fees for each semester is Rs 9000 which is economical.

Campus Life

The extracurricular activities are the exciting part of the college life. They have the high teach labs with best technology where the students conduct their practical and projects. The students are motivated to participate in the sports competition as well.

Admission

The admission process was basic. To be eligible for the admission you should have passed class 12th examination with a minimum of 50% in aggregate .You should get yourself registered by filling out the application form available on the official website.Admission is solely based on merit..

Faculty

4.5

The teachers are nothing but great and cooperative. They understand the students and their issues if they are facing one. They are always ready to help and guide you. You can always rely on them as they always want the best for you.

Likes

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . Since I am still in my first year I have only experienced the initial part of course

The campus is well maintained and is clean
Teachers are willing to give individual attention if needed
Above average food is provided in canteen

Dislikes

Lack of campus life as college is strict
Majority of the staff members are the type to hold a grudge against you
Spoon feeding students and not allowing them to think and improvise accordingly

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from semester 6 onwards. But campus placement for civil engineering is fairly low. But companies like Aarbee Structures Pvt Ltd has offered jobs for my mates

All the teachers are well qualified and equipped to teach but the quality of teaching differs as per individual.

Dislikes

The say of students in matters concerning them or others is nil. We have very little say as the management takes all decisons.
Teachers have ego and superiority issues between themselves which might affect the children in 4th year, project phases.
Fests, events and functions are not upto any expectations.Schools in trivandrum have better events than our college.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan, infosys, commandtech, bimlabs, gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

FAROOK KOTTAKKAL ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE - REVIEW

I prefer this college over others is basically for many reasons. The college infrastructure is well equipped. As far as a classroom are considered, they are the cleanest one. However, they don't have smartboards. Laboratories are well equipped and updated with new equipment though the library is small but has all the collections of needy books. Canteen is well maintained and hygienic. We have a playground and we do have a seminar hall to conduct occasional events. The good thing about this college is that the fees are very low and they have the good and best faculty members. They are so kind and helpful. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination or examinations recognized as equivalent with 50per marks are eligible for admission. The students will have to give the entrance exam for the admission and based on their merit they will be selected. The admission process starts at the month of April till August. I came to find this at collegedunia website....Read More
