Course Curriculum Overview

The course educational program is truly acceptable. Pretty much every subject of science and expressions are probably going to be found here. Bengali, English, History, Geography, Sanskrit and so forth all significant expressions' subjects and Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Life Sciences, Nutrition and so forth all significant science divisions are available here. The test design is semester based. There are two semesters in a year and all out six semesters are required for the course culmination inside 3 years.

Placement Experience

As it is anything but an innovative foundation or expert organization, the customary situation cell is missing. Be that as it may, each understudy has a high opportunity to get an all around presumed establishment for higher investigations or chief organization for work subsequent to dropping.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The charges structure is standard. I mean it's not much costly by any means, yet somewhat more than different universities. Be that as it may, you can profit a few grants to recoup the cash. You need to pay a sum during confirmation in every semester and again before the End Sem Exam.

Campus Life

There are numerous such occasions that are commended in our school during various occasions in a year. Here are a few - Netaji Birthday Anniversary (23rd January) ,Republic Day(26th January) ,Holi Festival ( March ) ,Ramnavami (April),Independence Day ( fifteenth August) ,Annual Cultural Event ,Annual Sports Event, College Fest ,Saraswati Puja ,Viswakarma Puja ,Agamani Utsav ,Ganesh Chaturthee, etc.

Admission

Admissions to UG courses are carefully done on value of class 12 assessments and school level directing led according to course, legitimacy, decision, and accessibility of seats.Candidates who have gotten through their group 12 assessments are qualified for UG courses; PG courses require a four year certification in expressions or science (whichever might be the situation). Application structures are made accessible in online mode on

Faculty

4.5

Our school has a tolerable arrangement of resources, considering all the departments. They are extremely kind, supportive and understudy inviting. They are consistently there to help us every way under the sun. They attempt their best to keep up the scholarly norm.

Fixed timetable Classes, regular assessment and class test
The professors are very qualified and their teaching style is excellent.
A lot of books are available in the main library as well as in the department library

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus and curriculum of Calcutta University is aligned with other entrance examination (eg.IIT JAM, JEST, TIFR, GATE etc.) Specially for the Physics BSc course. And the syllabus is updated Artificial intelligence bacis, Python Advance level is in syllabus, it's completed in college. Point to be Noted - The time given to prepare for the exam is sometimes ample but sometimes it is very less. So we have to prepare syllabus in time which is little bit frustrating.

The campus is very spacious the college has every facility
A fully equipted studio and lab for Journalism students

Dislikes

Things i disliked was the most has to be the locality the college is really nice but the locality is a bit shady

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always wanted to take up Journalism as a career and the thing which caught my attention in this college is that they have a fully equipted studio room and other colleges may have one but the students even publish there own news report here it prepars us very well for the real world

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. The remaining drives mostly service based companies like TCS, EY etc and quite a few startups has visited to main campus. The package they offered mostly in between 3.5lpa - 6 lpa. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Likes

The discipline is followed very strictly. Also you have access to library which is good, teachers are helpful and no ragging policy which is strictly followed and has a decent environment.
Thery conduct seminars which encourages students. Many faculty members are knowledgeable experienced in their respective subjects and helpful willing to solve doubts beyond the classroom also.
The college has decent infrastucture including classrooms, labs and library .

Dislikes

While the curriculum is decent ,it lacks sufficeint practical implementation.More hands on projects, real world application and industry exposure would improve learning significantly.
Campus life can sometimes fell limited in terms of active student interaction.Opportunites for clubs, networking and collaborative activities could be improved.
The college comes under St tHomas School so the campus is not great it is compact and has a canteen.

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Dislikes

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I
In our department ac doesn’t work properly

The teacher's are friendly and helpful. They do provide helpful recommendations for the betterment of your future.

Dislikes

The seniors are overly harsh when it comes to 1st year.
The infrastructure could be worked on. The college lacks renovation.
The hostel does require everyday cleaning and renovation as well as the campus.

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about this but I guess from the sixth semester the students are eligible for campus placements. This year a student from AEIE got a package of 11.2 lacs per annum and the average is around 4 lacs per annum.

The Framework is said to be great, with well equipped classroom and simply get to the libraries.
The offices at this college are great. In any case, these changes depending on the quality of the companies going by the college and the victory of the internship changes by the internship.
Understudies appreciate the campus life and flexibility to associate with others understudies. However, there are few impediments such as the division of floors between senior and junior. College life is nice and could be an inviting place for others

Dislikes

The college doesn't have lodging, and understudies must organize their settlement locally.
The college doesn't have a big field to play like any other big college

Placement Experience:

In Syamaprasad College placements and internships are given to the final year students. And the companies that offer placements are Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, etc. The highest package goes up to 20-24 lakhs and the average package goes to 6-8 lakhs. 70-80% of students get their placement in my college. At that time I planned to get the degree and apply to a multinational company with a high salary package with company facilities.

"One of the best colleges of my life"

The college is very good in its extracurricular activities. They have various sports activities like football, basketball etc. They also organize cultural functions like fest and fates in which many students take part. They have well maintained library. In order to get admission in this college, you must be 10+2 qualified and a valid degree for the same. But the students are also eligible through merit-based admissions that is from the scores obtained from their 10+2marks. Your application is based solemnly on your merit of 10+2 so if you have a good pecrentage, you can get through the application process very easily. The exam is based on the two different way, first one is internal exam that's has been taken in to the in our college and secondly external exam that's has been taken out of the college e.g - another college. The internal exam is taken of 10 marks and external exam taken 40 marks , total of 50 and practical exam taken in sciences subject in our college there will 20marks...Read More
