VelTech University, B.Tech, Biomedical Engineering

Reviewed on Sep 24, 2020(Enrolled 2018)

Remarks

The reason I chose to study Biomedical Engineering in Vel tech University is because it is located near to my house and it is one of the leading universities in Tamilnadu.Even it is ranked top in the worldwide and nationwide college list. The labs are well equipped and the staffs are trained enough to provide better the students a better understanding on the subjects .Vel tech University is producing qualified Engineers every year. The facilities and the support from the institution is awesome. They even support students to apply for foreign internships which most of the college's don't offer to their students. Students are encouraged to learn in a practical method so that they can implement and see whatever they have learnt. It is one of the best institution to study Biomedical Engineering as they offer to support many projects, even they provide are funding for many student startups.I highly recommend this Institution to learn and improve your knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose to learn Biomedical Engineering because I am very interested in this field .The faculty student ratio is around 30:1 .Almost 80 % of the facilities are Doctorates with high teaching quality. Exams will occur quite often in order to know about the student's understanding and to improve their knowledge

Class Size: 32Course Fees: INR 105000 per year

Internships Opportunities

They offer international internship opportunities with full funding and on campus internships as well .The students will get a great exposure to the working environment while they are studying itself .

Placement Experience

Placements are pretty good. The students are trained for placement. The university itself has a soft skill training unit so that the students will ne more confident while attending the interviews and during placements

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees will be around 1 lakh . We can get fundings for our projects and startup companies from the University itself

Campus Life

The campus environment is so good .It is very clean and neat.We can get food and water anytime .Even we can get medical assistance within the campus itself. They have ambulance services incase of emergencies.

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

This is the best college overall

Likes

The curriculum provided is really nice and understandable.
It is relevant and is effective as well.
The boy girl ratio is on the other hand a little less as in 45:15.

Dislikes

The way some facilities behave with students is really bad especially in our branch.
Some facilities are too rude and they often don’t want to listen to students point of view

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Training and Career development at CIT

Likes

In my college , I experienced diversed equality and gained more knowledge by training staffs and assessments

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually i like computer jobs. So i selected the course. Its very different one. Mainly programming.
