Course Curriculum Overview
The subjects and focus attributed is to anatomy, biological facts and pharmacology. Msc in Biology is a course of 2 years duration, divided in four semesters. The examination is held biannually every year along with internal exams in between every semester.
Placement Experience
Although the placement opportunities were bleak when I was in college, right now they have improved a bit. The faculty also aids in securing an internship, also job opportunities for students after acquiring the PG is working as a marketing officer in pharma companies and sales executive.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure for the two year duration of the course is around 15,000 Rs which is to be paid on a semester basis. The fees can be considered as feasible and affordable for many, and worth the money for a good masters degree in biology.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship facility can be availed by the students that have a yearly income less than 1 lakh, and also students that come into the reserved category or government declared category. This helps many students like us who cannot afford high fees colleges.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities including sports events happen annually in the colleges on West Bengal, students of KNU form teams on the basis of departments and participate in football tournaments, which happen all over West Bengal.
Admission
I was placed in the college and got a seat on the basis of the y merit score in my UG program, minimum requirement of which is 50%. The merit list is displayed as per the counselling rounds. I was very happy to get admission in KNU for Msc in Biology.
Faculty
The teachers and staff that are part of the college faculty are well experienced to manage and educate a batch of masters students. I had faced doubts and problems initially in understanding pharmacology of various drugs, but my teachers helped me patiently in understanding them.
