Entrance Preview

I entered the College in a management quota because I was looking for a petrochemical engineering seat. From My Higher secondary class onwards I had a clear view on which course should I select for my Under graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is actually the advanced Version of Heat and Mass transfer which are the Base for this whole petrochemical concept .It is a little bit hard comprehensive. But it s interesting though.

Internships Opportunities

Since am only a Final year student ,we are about to Attend our Internship Programme at CPCL,Chennai on this coming Months. Which might be from February 2016 and We haven't discussed about The stipend yet.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure varies with the Streams you select. With Corresponding to my stream(BE petrochemical) it s nearly 75,000 INRper year .(Doesn't include exam fee or Accommodation ).

Fees and Financial Aid

There are specific Scholarships which you may Availed yearly and the amounts varies according in which category you are involved to. College management are so Enthusiast of Providing Scholarship for the Desired ones.

Exam Structure

The simultaneous exams are usual on engineering structure. But with the proper module distribution and Clear note preparations and also with the proper Faculty guidence exams were not hectic at all.

My faculties were really helpful for both Cultivating and Understanding our abilities and Brightness in both studies and extra curricular Stuffs to.

the attendance is strict at 75% and subject attendances upto 80%
you cannot exit campus before 3.15 pm under any circumstances

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

Calm and Student-Friendly at DMI College of Engineering

Likes

The college provides a friendly and supportive learning environment.
Most faculty members are approachable and helpful, especially when students need academic guidance

Dislikes

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

High fees the government college but charging high fees making it difficult for students from lower income background to access quality education
often have limited seats dealing to intense competition and disappointment for some students
College provide only theoretical knowledge students for practical skills

In our college there any company are coming mostly plastic company where coming plastic company like Reliance ,fanuc, jsw, ather, caterpillar ecetera where coming they provide placements and packages above 3 lakh our placement office velladurai sir is a very kindful for he makes a company dealings

Placement Experience:

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.
